This is a quiet clean park. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful too. Our 6 year old grandson enjoyed fishing on the bank at our site also got a thrill seeing barges on the river. Another interesting thing, we watched an egret fishing on the edge of the water on the next site when all at once he caught a snake and gobbled it down. We managed to get satellite through the trees. Our rate was the senior pass. We enjoyed our stay here.
We camped here with our local Coachman club. The owners went out of their way to make us welcome. A very nice campground just outside of Hattiesburg, MS. AT&T signal was fine. Their Wi-Fi worked great. We plan on coming back with our grandchildren. The lake is pretty with lots of ducks to feed. Our site was right on the lake with shade from an oak tree. Sites were level on gravel. Our dogs loved the fenced in dog area.
This is the best COE campground we have been to. The campground is beautiful with most sites on the lake. The camp hosts are are very friendly and helpful, I wish all COE's were like this one. If you camp here be sure to go down the road to the visitors center and the dam park. The view from the dam is breathtaking. We got a great signal on our ATT phones. We'll be back in the fall :) The price we paid was with our senior pass.
We spent 5 days at this wonderful National Forest campground with 2 grandkids. This park is very well managed, the rangers are all very friendly and helpful as are the volunteers. Strong signal on AT&T, good local TV reception. Lots of wildlife viewing, interesting trails. Level sites, clean showers although they have full hookups in this park. We booked on reserve.gov, but when we arrived the ranger told us of nicer sites to look at. We will be back in the fall. We loved this park.
This is one of the prettiest campgrounds we have ever been to. The people who work at the campground are very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were spotless, the entire park is very well taken care of and well managed. On one of the days we were there the weather was bad, we heard a knock at the door, it was one of the hosts with an umbrella guiding us to a brick building with no windows. We certainly appreciated that. A tip is to bring all your supplies with you, it's a long trip to a Wal-Mart.
The park owner was very friendly and helpful. The park has seen better days though. Mostly old trailers everywhere that hadn't been moved in ages. Not the type of place I'd like to take my grandchildren. We stayed over night. We will not be back.
What a lovely park this is. The price we paid is PA. The people who own the park are wonderful. We feel very glad to have picked this park out of the PA book while traveling. It's really more like a destination park instead of an over-nighter.
We spent one night here, we would like to come back. The price we paid was with the senior pass. When we arrived the camp host showed us a prettier site (there were not many people here in the middle of the week.) Everything was sparkling clean, just like most COE parks are.
This is a very nice state park. The ranger was very friendly and helpful, he needs help though. Somebody had thrown toilet paper all over the mens bathroom, it was not cleaned for the 3 days we were here. Our rig is 30 feet and it 'just' fit into the space we had, #26. We had a nice view of the lake.
We camped here on our way to the Grand Canyon. Price is P.A. The WiFi is weak but it works. The the people at the office were very friendly and helpful. They gave us good directions to the state fair. The park is right off the interstate but we were not bothered by the noise. We would stop here again.
The price was with our senior pass. This is a wonderful park with something for for everyone. We stayed here over the long 4th of July weekend so it was pretty full. Luckily we booked in one of the circles off of the main road. It was very quiet even though the park was full. We enjoyed watching a tugboat pushing barges down the river. My son & DH enjoyed fishing on the river. The grandchildren all enjoyed the sprayground, what fun on a hot day. There is also a lovely trail to walk, in the evenings you'll see lots of armadillos and bats. The scenic overlook on the trail is lovely too. We plan on coming back here in the fall.
We spent a week at this park. Registration and the nature center are run by friendly volunteers. We took advantage of 2 of the programs offered, a nature walk and a tour of the fishing pier. Both were excellent. Campsites are level and clean, not much shade though. I would have given a higher rating if all the things mentioned on their site were finished. (DH caught the workers sleeping one day as he walked our dog.)
We stopped here on our way home from picking up our new 5th wheel. The host was very friendly and helpful. The park was very clean. Our dog wasn't with us but when we stop here again she will love the dog area. The WiFi signal was great. This campground is right off the interstate, easy to find and a safe place to spend the night.
