The campsites are great. Most are very big and private. Use common sense because of the skunks and raccoons. Driveways are at an angle for easy back in. Restrooms/showers are old but clean. Very pet friendly with a beach for the dogs. Has many activities. Gas up on I-71, because of a lot of driving in the park.
Campers at this campground were very rude. People cutting through other occupied campsites at all times. Poor layout of campground led to this. Shower house(s) located in middle of row of campsites and dead end roads. Roads very narrow and hard to back into sites. We were disappointed at the condition of nearby beach. Shower houses closed: were only port-a-potties at beach. Concession stands were closed and no life guards.
There is nothing to do in this park. The fact that you have to pay to enter every park in the state even though you are paying at another park is a turnoff. You do not know what the park offers until you have paid and entered. Sites are right on the ocean, but the water is very very shallow way out. At a lot of the sites you need an extra cord for your electric and water.
This campground has a great location. The bus for the Trolly Tours stops at the campground and the campground sells tickets. 1/2 mile to the beach on a bike path. The owners are really involved and friendly. They were constantly driving through the campground making sure everything was ok. All facilities were clean and always being cleaned.
