We chose to stay here because of the proximity to Philadelphia. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the historic district from this campground. The campground itself is good. There are may full-time camps set up, but it was not a problem for us.
For the money, this campground is the best value we have every stayed at. It has many things for children to do and the water park is fantastic. We stayed two nights and could have stayed much longer. It is clean, well-maintained, and very well organized.
If you love the ocean, but not the crowds, this place is for you. It is 30 miles from a real supermarket, and make sure you bring your groceries with you. We loved the pools and the overall OBX atmosphere. We will definitely be here again someday.
This park has a great view and is worth the trip up the hill. I did not find it a problem in a 37 ft. motorhome, but was glad I didn't meet another vehicle. My only concern was that there was not much for the kids to do. There is no pool, game room, etc. It is very quiet and well-maintained.
