Nice and busy campground, kept very clean. Friendly family owned and run, with BBQ daily. We stayed in the new addition to the park in the back which took a couple of tight turns. Roads are dirt; sites are somewhat level, gravel with picnic tables and grass, some with large trees, very close to each other though. It was raining during our stay so the roads were very muddy. There is a small dog run and ample grass around the fencing to walk the dogs. The owners are extreme on picking up after your dogs, I wish all campgrounds would do the same. We will definitely stay here again when in Cheyenne WY.
Another overnight stay while traveling through Texas, so the name suits the campground well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. First site we were put in was too short; the staff quickly moved us without any problems. The site we stayed in had a nice little fenced dog area on the site, as did several sites. Sites and interior roads are gravel. This campground is under the flight path of a nearby commercial airport. We only had one plane fly in at 9pm; it was very low which scared the dogs a bit. It is along the road and a truck stop is across the street, so there was road noise. The area gives the feeling that you need to keep all doors locked; however we didn't see or have any problems. If driving through and needing an overnight stop in the area we'd stay again if nothing better was available.
Pulled into this campground after office hours, there was a map posted of available sites to take without reservations. Paved roads without speed bumps, cute road names within grounds, well lighted sites, level crushed rock sites, some shade as trees are growing larger, large laundry room, small dog run in back of park, nice pond with sitting area. Office staff very friendly and helpful. We had a tire incident the day before and the office was able to direct us to Stroeher & Olfers Inc for help. The campground is new and kept up nicely, we would love to come back and spend more time here touring the beautiful town of Fredericksburg.
We spent 3 nights at Hatch RV Park. The entrance is a little steep, we didn't have a problem with our 32' FW but from the looks of the road many have. Office staff was polite upon check in and provided a package of fliers of things to do in the area. The site was very clean and accessible, however the grass has horrible stickers in it. No fenced dog run, but a large area is provided to walk your dogs around in under trees. This park is mostly resident occupied, but the residents are quiet and it was not a bother to us. Laundry room was clean and kept cool with excellent WiFi availability. Interior roads are paved but have several rough speed bumps, sites are paved with small patios and picnic tables. Couldn't hear any road noise, campground runs along a graveyard, one resident did tell us to keep our bikes tightly secured due to the local high school kids. Overall a good place to stay to see local sites and visit family, wouldn't choose as a place to just camp out.
This was a quick overnight stay as we passed through New Mexico on our way to Texas. We pulled in before the campground/state park closed for the evening and because it was on a weeknight after Memorial Day weekend there were some spots open. Looked as if there were a couple resident spots. The park was quiet, very clean, couple speed bumps, we were next to a road that became small town work traffic busy once 6 AM rolled around. Easy access. We had beautiful views of the lake and ample space for walking the dogs. We would stay here again.
We made reservations to stay at this campground as an overnight stay before driving into Denver to see our son off on a plane. Upon arriving late evening we were pleased to find posted at the office a map with directions to our site with a friendly note stating they'd see us in the morning after 8:00 am. The site was fairly level, clean, shaded with trees and next to the river as requested. It was raining hard so the interior roads were a little muddy with lots of water runoff. In the morning the office staff was friendly and helpful with advice on best roads and time to allow for in getting to the airport, which is about an hour away. The dog run was one of the largest we've seen yet. Nice tent area in back, very spacious campground for walking. Many interesting carvings can be found around the grounds out of tree stumps. We would stay here again.
