This park is right on the bay and it is very big. We asked for a pull-through and it was more than long enough so we did not have to unhook. We were only staying for the night. The pull-throughs do not have sewer so we had to use the dump. We were also put at the far end of the park which means that unless you unhooked, you were far away from everything, even the showers. No cable TV but antenna reception was excellent as was the Wi-Fi. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a nice small park. There are a lot of full timers, but this wasn't a problem. The pull-throughs are for the short timers and are very narrow, but nicely paved with picnic tables. Lots of trees and we would probably not stay here for an extended time, but was very pleasant for one night.
This park has everything you would ever want from a pool, playground, miniature golf and a rec. hall. We needed a place the Friday before July 4 holiday and the owners fit us in, which we were truly thankful. New owners here and are extremely friendly and wanting to help. They even have movies on Friday nights. We also stayed here in June and the experience was as enjoyable at this last one. This is the fourth time we have stayed here and will do it again.
We stayed here first because we had gotten our RV repaired and had to end up taking it to the factory. It had rained and our site was soft but there had been a lot of rain before that. This is a large park and if you don't like your site, all you have to do is tell them and they will give you another. We liked it enough that we came back for an overnight.
We stayed here for a Heartland Rally. We were put in a grass site and though it rained, our spot was fine and not muddy. F/H were good and office staff very friendly and accommodating. We had to get our RV fixed and had to stay an extra week and stayed in the other area with the gravel sites. Wi-Fi was good and they have storm shelters.
This is an excellent little park. Great for an overnight since it is right off the highway. There is a lot of highway noise but this does not bother us since we even like being close to railroad tracks. Owners were very friendly. Office was not open all the time, but that was also no problem for us. We will definitely stay here again.
This is a great little park. Very friendly and every site was $25. Liked the way you chose your own spot when you pulled in. The train is across the street and runs regularly but this was not bothersome to us. We would give it a 10 if there had been cable TV, since we could only get about 3 channels, but we had satellite. We would definitely stay here again.
Don't judge this park by the entrance. We came in and almost left because the entrance looked so bad until we saw the RVs in the back. Sites are gravel & grass & level. There are several fulltimers but this is a good overnight park. The owners are very friendly. We stayed here for two nights. Wi-Fi and cable very good.
This is a top notch park with gravel sites and concrete patios. When we called, they said there were closed for the summer but did have a few sites open. We were in a back-in that did not give us room to leave the truck hooked up. No problem because we stayed here 3 days. Pool is gorgeous, nice dog park and overall an extremely nice place. No shade trees but this is a newer park. The landscaping around the entrance and office was very nice, but that is the only place landscaped. The only reason I would not give them a 10 is that my preference is for more landscaping. We would definitely stay here again.
After reading the other reviews, we must have stayed at a different park. This is a typical desert park. Our site was fairly level, we had a grill but no table. There were trees around. The pool was not available but it was April and it opened May 1. Area was clean as any sandy area could be. Hostess' were very helpful and friendly. We had no problems with this park and would definitely stay here again. If you want grass, better stay in St. David down the road. We stayed here in a 38' Bighorn fifth wheel.
Nice park with friendly management. Had a nice cafe but we did not eat there. This is a West Texas park with all gravel, very little grass or trees. Large pull throughs and made it nice for us not to have to unhook. Stayed one night. Dog run could use a little cleaning up.
Considering the other parks in the area and the fact you are in New Mexico, this was a fine park. No grass, of course. Few trees. Large pull throughs so you did not have to unhook if you were just staying one night. We stayed here three nights due to NASCAR being Sunday. Nice enclosed pool. Cable was good and WiFi fast & free. Would definitely stay here again. Don't forget to visit the winery. We stayed here in a Bighorn fifth wheel.
We lost a wheel on our fifth wheel and called Mike, the owner, and asked if we could pull in. He was very accommodating. This park is very clean and would definitely stay here again if this way. Pool extremely clean, nice laundry, rec. room and fitness center. This is a great park and was lucky to be able to stay here until our RV was fixed. We ended up staying for 13 days.
We stay here every time we go through the Waco area (Elm Mott) and have seen many improvements since last year. Everyone very friendly and the roads are now paved. Sites are level (at least ours was). Will definitely stay here again when passing through.
This is definitely an overnight stay. Lots of long term campers but our site was relatively level and wide enough that we did not have to unhook. We have stayed here several times because it is easy on and easy off. Would definitely stay here again since it would only be for one night.
This park is in the process of being remodeled. We stayed here for one night. We had full hookups, 50 amp and a nice long pull through. We were able to set up our satelitte. The laundry was out of order but we did not need it. When they get all the services working, this is going to be a top notch park. Hostess was extemely friendly. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.
As the complainer before this said, it did have pot holes in the road going out, the pads are narrow but no more so that a number of others and our site was level. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We only stayed here one night but would stay here for an extended time. We stayed here in a Big Horn 3600RL 38' fifth wheel.
There must have been a lot of improvements done since the previous traveler stayed here, and don't be discouraged from using this park by the Travel Life Directory ratings. This is a nice park with good grassy sites, large pull-throughs where you don't have to unhook if you don't want to. The camp host is super nice and bends over backwards to accommodate you. It is a little far out of Cheyenne, 15 mi., but did not cause any problems. We stayed here during Frontier Days. We were traveling with a friend that ended up having to go to the hospital on the day they had planned to leave. Even though the park was going to be full, the camp host said she would work around us and we could stay as long as we needed to.
This park is totally graveled with no picnic tables. Staff is friendly and within walking distance to the Ft. Caspar Museum. Have stayed in one of the other parks here and feel this one is the better. Lots of room in the pull throughs (38' Big Horn 3600 5'ver), so that you don't have to unhook if you don't want to. We would stay here again.
This is a nice park with very friendly workers. The majority of the sites are pull throughs with a very nice bed of grass next to the gravel. The sites are close together but not a problem, and there are picnic tables at every site. The only negative is the sites are very short and you have to unhook and parallel park in front of your rig. Part of your tow is in the road. We camped here for several days in a 38' Big Horn 5th wheel with 4 slides. We would stay here again.
We really liked this park. People were friendly, sites paved, and has some shade and some open sites. This park would be perfect if it had a pool. We only stayed here one night but if we were not headed out, we would stay here more time. We would definitely stay here again.
This was a nice little basic park. Very open so we could use our satellite. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They do charge $1.50 extra for air conditioning but we have found a lot of parks charge extra for 50 amp so this was no problem for us. We had a very pleasant stay here and would do so again.
Great park. Has lots of washers and dryers and the gift shop was great. When we got here, the pool heater had gone out, and the water was really cold, but the next day it was fixed and the water was very warm. The owner and workers bent over backwards to help, if you needed a grill, they would supply one for you. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here about three years ago and decided to stay again. Was not disappointed and think some upgrades have been done. Owners are very friendly. Sites are a little unlevel and close together but no problem. Scenery is fabulous. Will definitely stay here again if up this way.
This is a class park. Had wonderful landscaping and huge pull through sites. We were surprised that our pad was not completely level. The bath house had individual bathrooms. Very close to all Black Hills attractions.
We had a pull through which wasn't really a pull through, but was adequate. Needed gravel on the sites but was parked under a tree so had lots of shade. We stayed here due to our truck breaking down and the hostess was very friendly. Checked with us several times to make sure we were doing okay. Not a 5 star park but was a nice little park.
This park is extremely clean with concrete pads and patios with grass on the side. The managers were excellent and extremely friendly and helpful. The only reason this park does not have a 10 is the lack of a pool.
This park is very convenient if you are a walker to go over to the River Walk, the walking bridge, and the Clinton Library. If you are not a walker, you can catch the trolley and take a tour of the area. The sites are gravel and there is no grass at the pull through sites. We could not sit out in our chairs due to the dust. The park has a beautiful view of the Arkansas river and skyline. You can wash your rig at your site for $5 but you will be sitting in mud. We might stay here again for the convenience.
This small park was adequate for our needs, which was to stay a couple of nights. We stayed here three nights. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful. Helped us get into our site. The exterior roads are good and the interior roads are paved. Our site was grass but they are upgrading and are putting in concrete sites. The majority of the sites house full timers, who work during the day. We were lucky to get the last space.
This is our third time staying at this park since 2007. It is close to town and within walking distance. Has great cable, nice pool and clean facilities. We have our own Wi-Fi and did not use theirs. The park is in dire need of site repairs. Sites are dirt and used to be grass. Rain causes real problems with the mud in the area. Park seems to be going down somewhat since our first time here.
We stayed here because it is the closest park to Camping World. It is small, and we opted to stay in "the field" which was a open space with full hookups because we did not want to unhook. The inner roads had speed bumps on them which made it difficult on the rig. Area is not lit nor secured. Would only stay here again if visiting Camping World.
This is our third time at this park. This park is super clean, extremely friendly staff and very convenient to see San Antonio. Catch the bus at the corner, schedule a trip in the office or shuttle to Sea World. We would definitely stay here again.
