Stayed here for one night because we had to. Sites are out in a grass field with no runners. Extremely un-level. No cable, No Wi-Fi. Had to hunt someone down to pay for the night. Did not feel safe. Will not be camping here again.
Stayed at park for 3 nights. Everything was fine. Had no problems with anything. Truck-stop noise was minimal...no bother. Close to downtown for some great sightseeing. WI-FI a little weak, but worked OK for our needs. Cable TV had 40 or so channels. Would definitely stay here again.
We went here for the Jim Bowie BBQ Festival held this time of year. Had a pull through site with concrete pad. Very few shady sites. Wi-Fi was totally useless as was the cable TV. All roads are gravel and full of pot holes. Had multiple campers drinking and playing loud music till 2-3 am. Complaints were useless. Park has no security and could not reach employees at night. We will not be returning to this park!
This park was not what we expected. Sites were not level, some as much as 15 to 20 degree incline. We had to move from original site as there was no way to level the motorhome. This park is pretty much ruled by the locals, not camping, just littering. Rest rooms and showers were in dire need of some cleaning. Grills are rusted out. Our sewer hookup was broken and we could not screw in the correct fitting. Had to let the connector "rest" on top of pipe. Worked OK, but with some leakage. Would not stay here again.
Stayed here for 3 days for a family reunion. This is an outstanding State Park. Clean, new picnic tables, and grills. Most all sites are level and require little or no leveling. We camped on site 41. Will stay here again next year.
