Easy in/out right off exit 140. There is a Love's gas station at the exit. Two very friendly women checked us in. The rate was posted at $35/night, and I asked if they belonged to any discount clubs. They said not yet, but they would give me a $5 discount anyway. Nice long level gravel sites. A large pine tree in-between each site provided some shade, but does not obstruct satellite signal. Strong Verizon signal here. Good water pressure. Some road/train noise, but not much. There is a nice view of mountains. We will stay here again when passing through.
Rate reflects Good Sam rate. The sites are packed gravel and very long and level. It is also satellite friendly. We did not hook up to the water as the temps were going down to 27, so I cannot comment on the water pressure. There is some road noise, but not loud enough to bother us. Staff is very friendly and escorts you to your site. We would stay here again.
The rate reflects the Passport America rate. This park is a total of about 6 miles off of the I-95, but worth the drive. It is a quiet country setting campground with a friendly staff. It is a well maintained campground, with a few long term residents. We had site #8, which does not have sewer hookups, but we don't need them for a short stay. This site has a couple trees, but we were still able to get a satellite signal. We liked it so much, that we decided to stay a 2nd night.
Great place for a night or two. Very easy on/off I-95. Quiet place with friendly owners. Satellite-friendly sites. There was even a produce lady who arrived in the evening selling fresh produce. Bought some and it was tasty and fresh. Rate reflects Passport America rate. We have stayed here twice and will continue to stop in when in the area.
We are in a 39' 5th wheel and have a back-in site with a water view, site 315. Our satellite does not work in the site, but we get plenty over the air stations. Our Verizon Mifi gets a good signal here. When you enter the one way road into the full hook-up sites, the road is easy to navigate; however, the other end has some tight turns with trees. When we leave, we will go out the same way we came in even though it is one way to avoid the tight turns. The park is not busy and only has 5 other sites booked for the entire weekend. The park is well maintained and has a friendly staff. The park is also very quiet. We would come here again.
Gorgeous water views with level sites; however, the sites were flooded when we checked in. The water was so deep in the first site we were assigned that we had them move us to another site , site 603. Although this site also had standing water it wasn't nearly as deep. Our ladder mounted satellite worked fine, and we had good 4G Verizon signal on our Mifi. The most annoying about this park is all the speed bumps throughout. I know they want to keep the speed down, but they are about every 100 feet, and very annoying. The fries in the cafe were good, but the pulled pork was old and dry. The general store is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the cafe closed at 2:00 pm (probably their off season hours). We would not stay here again IF it has just rained, but would if it has been dry.
The above rate reflects the monthly rate. I had booked this park for the month of January 2012. Unfortunately due to my mother's health issues I had to cancel a week before our original arrival date. They informed me that I was within the 2 weeks cancellation period and that I would not be refunded any money. I told them that their website did not state this nor was I verbally informed upon making the reservation. She immediately logged into it and confirmed that it was not posted; however, that was the policy nonetheless. We lost our entire $560 dollars. BEWARE it you book this park. You will lose your money if an emergency comes up less than 2 weeks of arrival. Since my call, they have added this to their website. BEWARE!
We stayed here for a week. The 7th night is free. Great campground with very friendly owners. Close to Custer State Park, and 4 miles from Custer. Sites are gravel and fairly level. Plenty of room between sites. All pull-through sites. Our Verizon air card worked well here. We would stay again.
Fine for a night or two. All sites are back-in. Electric hook-ups are behind the sites, so make sure you have a long electric cord (ours just made it). Lots of road noise. During rain they run generators to keep the creek level down, which happened to be behind our site. Very loud inside rig. Also during heavy rain, the water in the parking lot was ankle deep, which I had to walk in to take my dog out potty. You can choose your own site, so most people try to keep the rigs spread out a little. We would stay here again.
Very large park with level sites. We had a large pull through with plenty of room between sites. There was more than enough room for our 39' 5th wheel with 4 slides. They have a nice fenced in dog walk area. The pool was clean. We stayed here during their "off" season, so the park was not very crowded. The employees were very nice, and the rate above reflects the weekly rate. It is also an easy drive for visiting San Antonio. We would stay here again.
Very, very cramped spaces. The dog run is about 3' x 100' gravel area. No grass. Train tracks very close (approx. 40 yds from our site). Convenient to Louisville and nice staff. We will not stay here again.
The rate reflects the discount using their "B Connected" card that you can get inside, otherwise it would have been $17/per night. Very easy in/easy out pulling our 39' 5th wheel. Nice level sites. Most are back-in, but there is a row of pull-through, which we were able to get one. It is only a short walk to the casino, but they do provide a shuttle if you prefer. They have a golf cart shuttle located at check-in office, and when leaving casino just go to the valet and they will take you back. We did not use this service, but were told this at check-in. We will be staying here again.
This is fine for an overnight stay as it is easy in/easy out and level sites. The price reflects the Good Sam rate. There was quite a bit of road noise through the night. We would stay here again if passing through.
Beautiful park located on top of a hill, hence the name, with gorgeous views. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We were a little worried about the road leading up to the park, but it proved to be no problem. Our truck easily towed our 39' 5th wheel up/down the paved hilly drive. We would stay here again. The rate above reflects the Good Sam discount.
