This campground has a nice view of the mountains. It is close to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park. The campground is clean and well-kept. There is very little shade (not unusual in that area) and the sites are close together. You feel like you are in an RV parking lot, but again that is not unusual. It was a nice place to use as a base for trips into Rocky Mountain National Park each day.
This campground was fine--nothing wrong with it but nothing to set it apart either. The campground was clean, as were the restrooms. It was a good place to stay for a night when traveling but we wouldn't stay more than one night.
This was a very nice, quiet campground. It was kept very clean and neat. The landscaping around various items (poles, etc) was a nice added touch. Children were allowed but there was no playground for them to use. The restrooms were very clean each night when we went to take our showers.
We had 2 main complaints with this campground. First, after arrival we were told we had to put the levelers up on blocks. This was not disclosed when we made reservations and we did not have blocks for our levelers. Things of this nature should be made known when reservations are made. Second, there were only two showers for the whole campground. Forty-two sites, no sewer hookups and only 2 showers. Plus this campground had a lot of "working campers" which added to the congestion at the showers. Other than those two complaints, we were generally pleased with the campground. The staff could have been nicer, more pleasant, but fortunately we did not have much need to interact with them.
