Note that the rate is higher than normal as we were there during bike week. We got a site off behind the lodge which was totally treed and shady. If you get in the main part of the park there is no shade. We've been here before and didn't realize that the section we were in existed. It was really nice- a little on the hilly side and the turns getting in and out were a little tight but we made it without any problems. The park offers a little of everything, you can eat here, go riding or hiking and some shopping too. It's a nice place even though it's so big.
This park was great. Nice shade on the sites, fire rings at each site (which we don't see too often at KOA's) and patio furniture or porch swings. The hookups located nicely and they were easy to find in the dark. If all the KOA's were like this we'd stay in them more often.
This RV Park in inside a game preserve which we thought would be cool but after being there, it wasn't. The deer were actually kind of scary as they would come right up to you and people fed them and petted them. We tried to eat outside the first night and gave up as we couldn't scare them away. The sites are nice; all grass but the hookups aren't so well placed. In every site we looked at they were uphill from the RV so things didn't drain so well. The kids liked the access to the swimming beach and had a great time there. It was very quiet in the evenings which we enjoyed - no traffic sounds! The women's bathroom was having work done on it so it wasn't usable and the men's wasn't as clean as most that we've stayed in. The sites were nice though.
This campground was great. The owners were extremely helpful and fun to talk with. The bathrooms were the cleanest we've ever seen! The sites were a nice size with the hookups conveniently located. Fire rings and picnic tables at each. Wonderful site!
This RV Park is wedged between the highway and the river. On the river side there are nice views but it's not safe to actually climb down to the river. There is almost constant noise from the highway and there are no sites far enough away from it to avoid the noise. The bathrooms and laundry room were very clean and having a game room available was nice when it rained.
The park was great. Off the freeway so it was wonderfully quiet. Nice playgrounds for the kids and a large grass space for lawn sports. There was water available (just not at each site) and a dump station on site. The town is very small and everyone was very friendly. Easy to get to and easy to find.
