State campground is very well maintained and easy to navigate. Shaded sites are around the periphery mostly and the sun can be punishing in July. Banks Lake is spectacular. The grandeur of Steamboat Rock itself is undeniable. The whole valley is incredible. Worth travelling this route.
Beautiful sites throughout. Great walking trail down to Arrow Lake with incredible views to the east. Nice at sunrise. Park staff seemed to be overly uptight about a dog off the leash sitting under a picnic table. Very nice campground if you can survive without hookups.
Absolutely beautiful grounds and layout. Extremely well cared for and a pleasure to stay. Sinclair creek runs through the campground, lined with rock and crossed by several car and pedestrian bridges. Walking trail to the hot springs 3km but outstanding beauty as you walk past Sinclair falls. We loved it here.
Office and pool area are nice as can be expected from KOA. Unfortunately the campground grounds are poorly maintained, overgrown, dusty and unimpressive. We tend to expect more for $48 per night. Not even WI-FI available at the sites. Traffic noise is fairly constant. Staff were pleasant however.
