We stayed here for one night while pulling the 5th wheel back home. Mostly seasonals but a lot of open sites. The pull thru sites were a little narrow and small but you could park in the field (water and electric only on the field). This is a old school family campground..no thrills. They take cash and check only. It is a little off the highway so it is not easy off, easy on. We wanted to give it a try..and we did.
Another great stay at the Pirate. We always stay here when we hit Jersey. Close to the beaches and Great Adventure. They always have a lot of things to do for the kids. Lady's at check in are always friendly in that Jersey type of way. Great crab fishing and store is stocked with everything you might need.
Nice clean campground. Good room for big rigs in the pull thru sites as well as down at the waterfront sites. Pool was clean and so were the restrooms. Family owned and very friendly. Easy access to dump station and they have a honey wagon service for longer stays. Owner is certified RV tech and does work at very reasonable charge.
Wow, expensive. $49 for the site and then charged me an additional $14 for my 2 kids, ouch. It is a clean campground very close to everything in Lake George. There are a lot of things to do in Lake George so you really don't use much of the campground facilities. They sent me to a site that was down a step hill and I bottomed out damaging my rear steps on the 5th wheel.
Nice big clean campground. Easy on and easy off the highway. Nothing really to do if you have kids at the campground but it is very close to Montreal if that what you want. Not much room between the pull thru sites but there never is.
