We loved this park, it had something for everyone. The sites were paved with pea gravel areas with fire pit/grills, which makes for clean dry feet. Private shower stall on campground B. Nice large pool with store. Has a small natural museum and a beautiful shoreline, loaded with shells. Has a great walking/bike path that goes to the old plantation. Has a farming museum with a few animals. The kids love this. Offer hayrides on Sat. We were five minutes from a free ferry ride that runs 24 hours a day during the summer. This took you over the James River right to Jamestown Settlement. We were able to get right onto the Colonial Parkway and go to Williamsburg or Yorktown with no city traffic. I was very surprised at how not crowded this campground was. I don't think a lot of people know about it. So this will be just our secret and yes we will go back one day. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

We had a wonderful time. Our grand kids were able to enjoy the beach as there are concrete ships used as breakers, so the waves were not too big. There is a great pier fishing and even lit a night for use. Large playground and wonderful nature trails. A small store and level large campsites. Mostly shaded. Has boat ramp and quite a few people come for fishing. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be going back one day. Also the tunnel bridge to get there was an adventure you do not get to do every day.
