Site are gravel and level with plenty of room between sites to extend slides. Management was very helpful and showed us to our site. Cable TV and internet is an additional charge and Verizon air card didn't work very well because of the location between hills. I would stay here again if in the area.
The benefit of this park is that it is convenient to the Amana Colonies. Other than that it is just a big open field with gravel sites. Nothing flashy, just the basics. Verizon worked well. Cable TV is not offered, but there are no trees to interfere with satellite reception. A bit overpriced for what is offered.
A good overnight stop. Good power and water on level gravel sites. There are no restrooms or showers and most disturbing while I was here: tornado warnings were sounding all evenings and there is no provision for any type of shelter. I would stay here again, but only in fair weather.
If you're looking for a nice family campground for an overnight stop or if you just want to kick back for a few days this is the place. The family that owns the park lives on site and will make you feel at home. The sites are level, gravel with plenty of room for your slides. Electric and water work well and you are just two blocks from the post office, grocery store and bank. Just off I-70 and easy in and out. I will be back when I'm in the area.
Very nice park. Rate show is based on a monthly stay. The gravel sites are wide and each has a concrete patio. The one negative on my site was the sewer connection was poorly placed and required 20' of hose. I will stay here again if I'm in the area.
A nice over night stop. The sites were gravel and my site was level and wide enough for slides. Owner lives on the property and self serve check-in is available if the office is closed. I would stay there again if in the area.
New park management this year has changed the atmosphere of the park. The rates have been raised and additional fees are being charged. Thrash was allowed to overflow the dumpsters on several occasions. The office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm and management isn't normally available on weekends. After 3 years I won't be back.
Rate shown is the Passport America rate. The sites are level, gravel with grass in between sites. The park is well maintained and management was very accommodating to my satellite needs. The views here are spectacular. The park is one block off the highway, but there was very little noise. I would stay here again if in the area.
A little expensive for what is offered. No Wi-Fi, no laundry. Sites were gravel and the one I had was not very level. I would only recommend this as an overnight stop, not a destination. Management was friendly and helpful.
Like the previous reviewer I found this park extremely congested. Some of the regulars even had tents on there site to accommodate additional family members who were apparently staying there full time. The noise from I-25 was round the clock and the trees prevented getting a satellite signal. The pluses were the roads were paved and the gravel sites were level. The laundry was clean. I would probably look for another place if I'm in the area again.
Very nice park located close to the Little Big Horn Battlefield. The park is well maintained. The sites are level, gravel, and tiered on the side of a hill, and that gives everyone a good view of the mountains and the Little Big Horn River Valley below.
Rate is Passport America. This is just an overnight stop, nothing special, but a place to park. There is some noise from the interstate highway on one side and the railroad on the other side: each just a couple of blocks away. The WiFi was very weak and I was unable to connect. Sites are gravel and close to level. Water pressure and electric are good. I would stay here again.
Rate is based on a weekly stay. First I have to give the staff an A+. They went out of their way to assist in making the stay enjoyable. This park is very clean and well maintained. Sites were more than adequate with plenty of room for slides. WiFi was free and very reliable. A discount is given at a nearby restaurant and gas station, which is an added perk. I would stop here again if in the area.
Nice level park located on the Snake river with easy access from I-84. This is a family friendly park with a boat ramp, playground and a small grocery store on the property. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
This is a Passport America rate. This park has nice level wide spots with lots of trees. It was very clean and the grass between spots was well manicured. I was able to access the WiFi from site #8 which is in the back row. Easy access from the interstate and a good overnight stop.
As others have said this is an overnight parking lot. The spots are close together and strangely laid out (one site backs in, the next site heads in). The seasonal guests seem to bring everything they own to place around their sites. The laundry is located in the rear of a convenience store outside the park and some distance from the sites. The pool is nice and the restrooms are clean. The park is away from the highway and is quiet at night. Wi-Fi and cable TV are extra.
Very nice overnight park for $10.00 Passport America rate. Sites are level gravel and the park is easy to access from I-8. There are two restaurants within walking distance. I will stay here again if I'm in the area.
Rate is based on a monthly stay. This is a nice urban park, close to the center of the city with easy access off of Indiana Highway 37 and just a couple of miles south of I-465. The staff is friendly and helpful. The sites are faily level gravel with grass between them and are nice and large. The only drawback was the distance to the showers, laundry and trash which are all located toward the entrance of the park and a walk of some distance from the sites. I would stay here again if visiting Indianapolis.
A nice well maintained county fairground park. Sites are level with some paved, but mostly grass. Good electric and water. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rate is a Passport America rate. The county fair is the middle of August and it might be wise to call ahead during this time. I would stay here again.
Nice, quite park with level grass sites. Good electric and water service and lots of trees. The park requires you to unhook any vehicle and park it on the concrete. Close to the Air Museum and at the south edge of town. Call for directions, GPS is not correct.
Rate is based on a monthly rate. This is a nice family park with mostly seasonal sites. The sites are level gravel sites. Management is very friendly. The drawback is the train tracks that pass near the park. There are no sewer hookups, but the owner provides a tank emptying service.
Passport America rate. This is a small, family run campground. They have fairly level grass sites. This park was leveled by a tornado two years ago and they are slowly rebuilding it back to what it was. Management was very helpful.
Passport America rate. Basic stopping place, no frills, restrooms or showers. I had to change spots to get working electricity. Check-in is on the honor system, and I have seen no management around the park.
The rate is Passport America. As others have said the park looks run down, however all hookups and the WI-FI worked well. The site I had was level gravel, with grass around it. Management was very cordial and showed me to my site. I would stop here again.
This is a gravel parking lot with utilities. The sites are very uneven and require a lot of leveling. There are no showers or restrooms. The lady who checked me in said they plan to fix things up when they have time. It's way overdue.
This is a very well maintained park with large, level sites and very nice desert landscaping. The staff is very cordial and efficient. The free WIFI works well. I stayed at the Passport America rate. I will return again.
I spent a week here exploring Tombstone. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even will take you to town and pick you up if you ask. The sites were mostly level and the views were wonderful. I would stay here again.
The rate is based on a monthly stay. This is my second year returning to this park and the friendly people here are the draw. There are lots of activities including: great fishing in Falcon Lake, cards, swimming pool, pool, shuffleboard, bingo, jam sessions and carry-ins to mention a few. The park is older and thus the sites aren't as big as they could be, but there is still plenty of room to deploy slides and the sites are level. Rates will rise next year, but prices haven't been posted yet.
This is a Passport America rate. This is strictly a place to park. Sites are arranged around the perimeter of a motel parking lot which results in something akin to side by side parallel parking. The campground has free WI-FI and cable TV but showers are extra. The lot is gravel, level and dusty. OK for an overnight.
Passport America rate. Located next to an on ramp for I-80, lots of truck noise. The sites are level and pull through, but the place is not well maintained. Check in was by the honor system and staff was never seen.
This is a camping club park and most of the sites are reserved for members. The sites available were for the most part not level. The park does have lots of amenities including a nice club house, miniature golf, pool, c-store and snack bar, among others. This is a PA park.
Sites are very close together and the grass was in need of cutting while I was there. This is an older park and within walking distance to a food store and downtown Valentine. Passport America rate is what I quoted.
This is a family friendly park in a quite small town within a block of a supermarket, bank and post office. Managed by a family that goes out of its way to make your stay pleasant. Amenities include a pool and hot tub and a free movie library. This is a good overnight stop or a place to relax for a few days.
