As previous poster stated, this is a parking lot only with water, electricity and a dump station. We ran the a/c fan all night to suppress the road / train noise. The $30 rate is insane for this facility and even more so when you consider the draw is a casino. Similar facilities where we have stayed would provide the same either free or minimal charge. Casino was very nice and larger than expected.
Very convenient to the Branson area. Most sites are gravel, and with the heavy rains that results in a lot of mud on the vehicles. Park hosts were nice. Wi-Fi is virtually nonexistent. We were parked under the antenna and still had little to no service (TengoInternet). My AT&T hotspot was exceptional.
We enjoyed this park very much. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Sites were mostly gravel and narrow by our standards. We had o park diagonally in the site to allow opening of the full-wall slide (the hose bib handle was too high). We would return here again.
Previous reviewer was correct on most things although we did not find the roads difficult to navigate. We did park in the rear (big rig) area. This is a mature park but has been well maintained. You can hear the freeway traffic during rush hours.
Previous rating of "5" was a little harsh for the reasons given although "9 or 10" is equally out of bounds. Descriptions provided are accurate. The open areas of the CG are arranged to provide full sun all day, read that a no or very few sites will provide any shade by your rig/awning. Nice pool and gated access. Beware of the dog (excrement) in many grassy areas from the unleashed pets.
This is a really great campground. Stayed in the newer section which was level and open for satellite reception. Owners are two of the nicest people anywhere. I deducted points as this park is a great place to stay however not much in the area to see or visit. We would definitely return again to visit here as it feels like coming home.
If you are traveling in a Big Rig this place should be avoided. Most sites at Eagle Point are too small and very unlevel. This park is a camp for locals plus many of the "seasonal" RV's are in very poor condition and run-down.
This is our 2nd year to stay here while visiting friends. Noticeably worse this year. Dirt unlevel sites with services in very poor condition. On our next trip here we will stay elsewhere. Previous comments are accurate.
Wonderful campground with many amenities. Did not have the same experience of the previous reviewer with the bugs, etc. Those with pets took very good care of mess and noise which is expected by the park. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here two nights. The new management was very friendly and helpful. They have some double sites (inline) which we used as a pull-through. Trees are need of a trimming, which they stated was to be done soon. Park has many permanent residents and transient workers. The roads are paved, gravel sites and gated entrances.
Sites are very short and narrow. Campground is situated between a very busy PCH and a railroad track. Reservation was made with a very friendly lady, check-in was less friendly by a different individual.
This is a wonderful park, maintenance is great and staff could not have been more accommodating. We had a deluxe back-in site which was very large by CA standards. Two primary drawbacks. First, if you stay in the sites near the rear of the park you are in the shadow of I-5 and its everlasting noise and second, if you are an early to bed person you will be awaken by Disney's fireworks display each evening about 9:30pm. If you love fireworks as my wife does, this is a positive and not a negative. Definitely would stay here again.
Very nice lakefront site (#1). Park very friendly as many campers are here to fish and enjoy the lake. Restrooms and showers need updating. The park is closing May 1st, 2011 for renovation without a stated completion date. Rocky Creek COE is also closed for updating.
Most earlier comments still apply. Campground is used primarily by those working in the area. Staff friendly, speed limits monitored continuously which helps keep the dust in check from the gravel roads. Would stay again.
Small park with mostly permanent residents. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restrooms and laundry in a portable building, were in good condition. Biker bar next door has great hamburgers and friendly atmosphere (if you like that kind of thing). If you need a weekend stop in the Katy / Brookshire area for a couple of days, this place will accommodate your needs. Would stay again.
Park is under new ownership. They are fixing many items and have worked hard to get the park outdoors in good repair. Showers and restrooms are very dated and need a facelift. We stayed one night, easy on and off freeway.
I cannot be as enthusiastic as the previous reviewer however. This is a well managed park with a very friendly staff. Sites are a little tight but not uncomfortable. Park is mostly full as there is a large construction project in the area. Wonderful to see commerce at work. We stayed overnight and would stay again.
This park is dated and could use a face lift. It has all gravel roads and sites. We asked for 50amp and were given a 30amp, we survived this. It is very dusty while vehicles are moving in the park. It seems a little pricey for what they have to offer.
Wonderful park and people. We parked "on-the-wall" which overlooks the city. WiFi best of any park we have been in this summer. We missed an offer of 3 for 2 pricing because we didn't check their website. Comments of others about the drive up the hill to the campground is accurate and it is an adventure. If ever in the area again we will definitely stay here again.
Friendly owner, ice cream sandwich was a nice treat. CG is still for sale. This is a nice stopover for the night. We were guided to our site and asked if there was anything needed. Would stay here again.
Brand new and very beautiful campground. Restrooms and showers are worth the stop, very nice. A bus ride from the casino which also is very nice. Don't expect an adult beverage at the casino as there is none on site. Very nice stop for a couple of days. Rate is weekday rate, $40 on the weekend.
Very nice park with friendly and helpful staff. Stayed one night while passing through the area. Nature trail is small but interesting. Did not use indoor pool but it looked in good condition. Would stay again.
I rate this park highly they have the greatest host and area guide I have ever met. We planned on staying 2 days, but stayed 4. The sites are located within the marina and if you are a boat person, this is wonderful. Near downtown is a plus. No real amenities other than the great view from your site. Most sites do not have sewer as there is a dump station easily accessible on your way out.
We didn't find the staff as friendly as the previous reviewer, however they were not unpleasant. Roads are very narrow for larger motorhomes, especially that first right turn down the hill when entering the campground. We camped up on the hill facing the lake, which was a great view. Coin operated showers were a negative. We would camp here again.
We stayed on site 3 which was completely blocked from receiving satellite signal, and there was no cable to other than permanent residents, which is most of the site. The club house and adjoining restrooms and showers were exceptional, unfortunately it was the highlight of this park. Seven miles from casinos.
Enjoyed the peace and quite on site B1 which is along side of the entrance road. Staff has been cleaning up all week after the previously very busy weekend. Showers & restrooms are dated but clean. We were here to visit NYC which is a hour-long bus ride to the bus terminal. Campgrounds are in a very beautiful setting.
This is a very scenic campground on the river. Pull-throughs were narrow and a bit of a challenge to maneuver. We only had an overnight stop, and did not become very familiar the CG. Neighboring resident in 5er stated they had been here for several months and they thought very highly of the CG and people, and also said this CG was the nicest in Sequin area.
Excellent casino campground with many amenties. I put the nightly rate at $1 as the sight requires an answer, we were comped as I expect many visitors are. Only possible negative is the shuttle bus which runs day and night.
Wonderful park in the amongst the tall pines on Lake Livingston. Waterfront sites are beautiful, we stayed up on the hill away from the lake. These sites had hookups but were more privative type. We are returning next week as we truly enjoyed this area.
