There is a new owner who took possession in February. He is on site daily and is very friendly and helpful. Even took me to a local grocery store so that I wouldn't have to unhook my Toad. Sites are gravel, well spaced and separated by grass. Restrooms are clean and spacious. Men's room fine, women's room needs a bit of work but the owner is handling it. Owner also let me wash my coach, a definite plus as all previous parks where we stayed, during 6 weeks of travel, would not allow it. We will stay here again if traveling this route.
We arrived during a busy time and found that our reservation had been totally messed up. The only bit of information that was correct was our cell number. It and the rest of the information was for the most part, illegible. Another rep stepped in and fixed the issue. To call this park a "resort" is a stretch. It has beautiful grounds with level, well spaced, gravel sites. It is a well maintained older park with clean but very dated restrooms and showers. Others have raved about the food, so I guess our negative experience was an exception. The gentleman who took us to our site is a gem, very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again if traveling I-84.
Office lady was really friendly and helpful. The showers were wonderful; private with closeable doors. Laundry was super, 8 washers & 6 dryers all reasonbly priced. Site was gravel and close to level. Would have been a plus if it were asphalt/cement and level. Pets are welcome and they have a neat off leash fenced area. Other pet area's are not very convenient as you either have to walk a long way around or go through an existing site. Only real negative: they have a pet policy against agressive breeds which we didn't see enforced in 2 incidents. We would stay here again if traveling I-84..
Park is older but well maintained. Sites are crushed rock; ours was quite level. Site separation was ok. Pull throughs nice and long. WiFi and TV were very good. Office lady was very friendly and helpful. Showers were clean, my wife said hers was quite large. Mens showers (2) were very small. A plus: bagged ice is available at the office. We would stay here again if traveling SR20.
Park host available and friendly. We have stayed here every year since 2005 so have seen improvements. Sites are good size, generally not very level, but have good separation. The showers have been, and continue to be, a disaster. A bit has been done with painting but as they say, you can't put lipstick on a pig. They now accept non-club members but at $40 per night they put themselves in competition with several local parks with nicer facilities on the canal.
We have stayed at Gilgal numerous times. Stayed on one occasion for several months. Typically stay for one month a year. Office staff has always been courteous, helpful, and friendly. This trip is an exception. One of the current office lady's should not be dealing with the public. Showers and bathrooms are squeaky clean. Sites are paved and have a good width. TV channel selection is excellent. Owners are on site frequently and are friendly & courteous. Rate shown is based on a monthly fee. Regardless of a bad experience with an office person, we will stay here again. BTW, In the past I have rated the park 9-10.
Lady in the office very helpful. Sites level but a bit close together. Lots of grassy area's. "Resort" facilities were not available, as I guess it's too early in the year. Bathrooms/showers were free and very clean. Only negative was the showers due to the auto shot off water valve. Had to push it every 10-15 seconds to keep the water running! We would stay here again.
We have stayed here several times and were happy overall with the park. This stay was an exception, perhaps due to Spring start up. Hooked everything up and NO power. This was resolved. Then No TV due to bad/misswired splitter. No Wi-Fi. Lady in office very helpful but could not resolve Wi-Fi problem. BTW, my laptop worked fine at campground before and after. Showers and bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. We will stay here again.
Lady in the office was very pleasant. Sites were gravel but level and long enough to keep toad connected. Showers and bathrooms very clean. However, they had little privacy. Near highway but road noise was no problem. Most sites were filled by local workers, but should thin out when gas plant refit is completed. We would stay here again.
Office staff friendly and helpful. They take you to your site. Easily accessed from hiway 16. A basic no real frills park but very adequate. Sites are gravel and ours was level and long enough to handle the coach and toad. Good WiFi and cable TV. We would stay here again.
Price reflects RPI rate. The park has a number of facilities; unfortunately all have already been closed for the winter. Our site was very adequate, but they should have a no bird feeding rule. The party next to us was feeding birds and they messed our car so bad we had to take it to an in town car wash. ( Car/rig washing not allowed in park). I did ask them to remove the feeders until we left and they did. There is a nice dog run which we only used once as it is quite a distance from our site. We would stay here again if in the area.
A no frills park good for an overnight stay. The office person very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi OK but slow and disconnected frequently. This would be a gem at $20 - $25 per night. I guess their nightly rate reflects the fact there is nothing else local. We would stay here again.
We made reservations several weeks ago and indicated that we were with a service club group and would like to be a site adjacent to the others. I was told no problem. We found when we arrived that we were placed in a site far removed from the others in our group. When we asked for a move to an adjacent site we were told it would not be possible. Park managment clearly isn't paying attention, as they must if they want to encourage group visits. We will not be staying here again.
Price reflects Sunrise Resorts membership. We have stayed here several times. On every stay, cable TV has been poor and this visit was no exception. Cable TV quality has not changed over the past 3 years and should be addressed. I'd be willing to pay per night for GOOD cable TV as is done at the Dow Creek facility. This year Wi-Fi is available for 1 hour per day free with a charge for additional usage. Wi-Fi service is definitely improved since last year when you had to go to the club house to use it. Office staff very friendly and helpful. Grounds crew was evident this year, more so than in previous visits. Sites are level and spaced apart nicely. We will stay here again.
Sites at this park are all gravel, reasonably level but somewhat close together. Staff was very friendly and helpful. WiFi and cable TV were excellent. Facilities appear new and well maintained. Park location is a bit difficult to find because of poor signage. Driving north or east bound, take exit 99 and continue to the access road ( Foothill Blvd.), drive east and look for signs. Restaurants and shopping (including a Wal-Mart) nearby. We would stay here again.
This is my third try at reviewing this park. In short, this park is over priced for the facilities and atmosphere provided. Sites are gravel, narrow and close together. Train runs across the back day and night. Restrooms received no attention (dirty & no tp) during our visit. Leash rule is not enforced. One staff member should not be dealing with the public. Shade sites occupied by long term campers. "Nearby town with restaurants" is actually about 5 miles away. We will not stay here again.
Park appears to have a significant number of permanent residents which would explain the owners casual approach to park management. Sites are grass and gravel and appear to be level. Our site required no leveling at all. There are mature shade trees and they are spaced so as not to make entry and exit a problem. I was surprised that there was an additional charge for cable TV. This is a service typically provided as a function of nightly rate. Our cable service was less than satisfactory with the national feeds. The owner indicated the problem was with the provider, yet the non major channels were just fine. The WiFi was free, but tended to disconnect frequently. You should select a site close to the office for best signal. The park was next to the main route through town but noise was not a problem. The park is a good stop for the price. We would stay here again.
This is not an RV resort as reflected in the nightly rate. It is a GREAT en route stop when traveling Hwy 163. Sites are mostly level and far enough apart to be comfortable. Sites are gravel with young shade trees. The staff are VERY accommodating. I messed up and left my water pressure gauge on the site spigot. After a call to the park host, he recovered it and mailed it to our home... great service! There is a small trading post with light food and beverages available and a steakhouse nearby. We would definitely stay here again.
Office staff very friendly and helpful. Sites seem mostly level and are all gravel. Plenty of space between sites and each has a concrete patio/pad and picnic table. W-iFi and cable TV are excellent. Compared to the other parks in the area, this one has the best price for the facilities offered. Park has no laundry but several are available within a mile, including one where you can have a beer and nachos while using the washing facilities next door. We would definitely stay here again. Arches National park is amazing.
Office person was curt and not very thorough. He didn't ask if I wanted WiFi, which is only available near the office, so put us nearly as far from the office as one could get. When asked about the site placement there was no offer to change sites. So: if you want WiFi at your coach specify ahead of time. Sites are not very level, are all dirt and dusty, and are side by side. I now have a 5th wheel next to us so we can look into each others windows! This park is totally overpriced for the amenities provided. OH, if you want to take a shower, be prepared to pay $ 1.50 for 6 minutes. Water pressure at your coach is about 35 lbs. We will not be staying here again.
We stayed here after bypassing San Jose because of the neighborhood. The sites were spacious and level. It appears trees could be a problem for some big rigs. The rate at $38 - 40 per night seemed excessive for no WiFi or Cable, but I guess the state needs the money. Showers were free and had plenty of hot water; although you have to keep punching the auto shutoff valve to continue. The bathrooms needed cleaning. There were several staff folks around but they worked mainly on the grounds. The park is difficult to find the first time due to poor signage. We would stay here again when traveling highway 101.
Sites have side by side hookups so only one of a pair are convenient for use. Although there is a park host, never saw them. You pick a site then go back and register placing payment in an envelope and into the "iron ranger." The basic FHU site is $20 per night. BUT, if you have a toad it is an additional $10 per night and dogs are $1 per night for each. Showers are 3 minutes for $.25 and really needed a good cleaning. We were here on business so this place was better than the high dollar park in Buellton. We would stay here again if coming to Lompoc.
A small but very comfortable park. Host was extremely helpful; even printed some local maps on his computer for me. Sites are gravel and were level and wide enough for our slide. There are two WiFi sites and both worked great. Office was very well supplied with RV parts should you need them. Restrooms were clean and well maintained. Would have rated the park a bit higher if they were updated. IE: the first place I've paid for showers in a long time. Showers are adequate but small, and would benefit from absorbent rug in front. Great breakfast and seafood restaurants nearby. Expensive laundry available across highway from park.
Appears to be a former KOA park. Sites are "nearly" level but closely spaced. Staff was friendly and helpful. Right off hwy 101 but traffic noise was not a problem. OK for an overnight stay. We would stay here again if coming this route. Handy for a visit to the cheese factory at Tillamook.
Price reflects an adjusted weekly/daily rate. Owners and hosts very friendly and helpful. Very nice and well maintained facilities. Free DSL with a $20 refundable deposit for the hook up cable. Sites are spacious and reasonably spaced. I would give the park a 10 if the sites were level.
Price reflects our membership. Staff was fun, friendly and helpful. Sites were big enough that a toad could stay connected. Sites were level and well maintained. Nice grass between generously spaced pads. I found the Wi-Fi unusable as the instructions were poorly copied and partially unreadable. Cable TV was good. Located right next to the freeway but traffic noise was not an issue. We will stay here again if passing this way.
This is a repeat visit as we stayed here for a week in 2008. We were in a new to us Class C w/o leveling jacks so a level site was important. We were put in A1 and it was perfect; no leveling required. The lady in the office was friendly and very helpful. They had no ice for sale in the office as it was too early in the season and she very graciously took her car to the local store and purchased a bag for us. A very pet friendly park.
Park Manager was very nice and helpful. Sites were all gravel. The site assigned to us did not appear level but worked out perfectly as it was level. The Wi-Fi had a super local signal but was not hooked up to the net. I would give the park a higher rating if they had cable TV and working Wi-Fi. We would stay here for an overnight again if coming this way.
Park sites are all gravel.Dust not a problem as there were frequent rain showers. We were assigned the last available site in "overflow". Our overflow site was nicer than some of the full hook up sites we have paid for in other parks. WiFi worked great. Office staff very friendly and helpful. Driving directions to park are a bit confusing so call ahead for help. We would stay here again.
The rate reflects Sunrise Resorts membership. We have stayed here several times before. The quality of the facities has detriorated. No power was available at the sites selected so had to run power cable to adjacent site. Cable TV was availalble but had few channels. Had better TV from the air antenna. WiFi seemed to be available from our site, but would not connect. I had to go up to the clubhouse to use. We will stay again because of our membership but feel that substantial work will be required to get the park up to acceptable standards.
Park was nicely laid out. Adequate space between sites. All gravel but level. Our rate is for PPA which provides a water and electric only site. There is a no charge dump site available. We visited the related Meteor Crater impact site. It is privately owned by the same party that owns the RV park. We found the admission fee excessive for what was provided. There was a fair amount of duplication in the displays ie: the same film is shown in 3 different places. The area set aside for the gift & sandwich shop was far larger than the museum. Unfortunately, you don't find out you have been duped until after paying he entrance fee. We would stay in the RV park again if passing on I-40 but would never visit the Meteor Crater site.
A fairly new and well laid out park. The pull through sites more than adequate to pull through an stay connected to your toad. Lack of cable TV a bit of a negative, however, limited broadcast TV is available. WiFi is free but, during our stay, very slow. On occasion the speed was down to as low as 5bps. The maximum speed seems to be 24bps which is the slowest we've seen at an RV park. The park management very friendly and helpful. It is real close to I5 with gas and other services available nearby. We would definitely stay here again if traveling I5.
Great hands-on owners. This is what I would classify as a neat, eclectic RV park. Sites are concrete, wide and level. Grass etc very well maintained. Yes you enter through a used car lot but once inside it was great. You could pay a lot more to stay in the area and not receive any better care and amenities. We would definitely stay here again.
Rate reflects PPA. Great park. Sites well layed out and easy to get to. Excellent Wi-Fi. Laundry was immaculate. Washers and dryers had lowest cost we have encountered in years. A real bonus, bags of ice only a $1. Office staff was really helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Only negative; signage to get back to I-5 was terrible. Signs typically at point of turn, to late to make a decision.
Small but very clean and well maintained park. We were in a pull thru on the hwy 14 side of the park and were not bothered by hwy noise. The trains pass below an embankment which to some extent buffers their noise. We did not find train noise any problem. Office staff very helpful and pleasant. In contrast to many parks, the are lots of trash cans discretely placed around the park.
Park has many manufactured homes in the front portion. Most appear well maintained. RV section has many "permanents" some of which are in poor condition. Be sure to arrive with a full water tank if traveling before April 15 as the water to sites is shut off. There is no adjustment to the nightly rate for lack of water at the sites. A faucet is available near the office. The rest rooms and showers reflect the age of the park. We would stay here again if in the area.
There is no cable TV but there are 3-4 local channels. The price for this park is appropriate. It is truly " no frills" but well maintained. Web map shows an option of coming off I84 at hwy 2950. I suggest the only (best) way to drive to park in on highway 30 off I-84. Office staff were helpful and friendly. There is a good Pizza place in town. The park is family owned. Sites are gravel and slope up. We would stay here again.
The park is clean and well maintained. It's not fancy but is well laid out. The park host could not be more hospitable! We needed ice; they went and bought it for us. We forgot our favorite dog's bed at home; they loaned their truck to us to go get another. This is not a "kids" park ( no pool, no swings) but it has all the features that we look for in an RV park.
We have stayed here in the July/August time frame for several previous years. Although we have rated the park in the 8/9's in the past, we can no longer do so. The park has declined in quality just since last year. All sites are gravel and mostly level, but are side to side and quite close together. Grass has been replaced by weeds which are choking out what grass remains. Grounds maintenance is minimal at best. Mosquito's are a constant problem being sourced from a large adjacent open field. Although there is spraying a couple times a week, the pests are a constant concern. It appears that management, on site, are giving preference to long term tenants. Many seem to go to work daily in the area. RV quality, is not as found in many more well maintained parks. One redeeming quality is the laundry which is commercial quality and well maintained.
Price is for PassPort America. A nice park for a 1 or 2 night stay. Limited pull through 50AMP sites so specify when making a reservation. An older park with gravel sites somewhat close together. We would stay here again
Older but well maintained park. Many shades sites available. However, you must be careful which site you are assigned if you want to use your satellite receiver. Owners on site and very active in park management. On Wednesdays, there is evening entertainment and ice cream social. We stayed a week and would do so again.
I rated this park a 9 when we stayed here last year. We had a pull-thru full hookup site for $36. They have finally priced themselves out of the market for me at $56 for a back-in full hookup next to the road into/out of the park. Management must not realize the current market...they'd only have to look at the lack of folks using the BBQ either morning or evening ... few used the facility. After reviewing costs at other local parks, I think we will just skip Billings altogether in the future.
Park staff really helpful on arrival, made check-in fun. Sites are gravel but level. Sites long enough to leave your Toad hooked up for an overnight stay. Hookups are well placed and convenient. Wi-Fi was excellent. In contrast to many parks, cell service was great, lots of bars. Grocery store ( Safeway), "cheaper" fuel, and liquor store close by.
This is not an "RV Resort" as we have visited numerous times in the recent past. The park is dusty as there are no paved sites. The sites are narrow with sewer and the electrical pedestal separated by 10-12 feet. Satellite reception is "iffy" based on the site you select. We may be spoiled, but no cable TV is unsatisfactory. This would be an OK place for an overnight but not for an extended stay.
OK Park but definitely not an "RV Resort". Pull thru sites are wide enough for extra car and awning but are "spartan". Park is not pet friendly. No grass areas in park, all cement & asphalt. Brochure claiming level pads, patio's and deluxe landscaping is a joke. Pads are not level, the landscaping is a 2' wide bit of wood chips between each site, and the dog walk is through a locked fence to an unlighted road behind the park. Park has a number of full time residents.
This park is a gem. Not the glitziest we have ever stayed in but clean, sites level and well prepared, excellent facilities including a laundry to die for. WIFI great but make sure you tell the person when you make a reservation that you want WIFI. Close to everything in town. Owner is on site and always available to help.
In the 2 years since we stayed here, the management has made many upgrades to the sites in the park. It continues as treed and beautiful but the sites have been cleared and made very acessable. The cable TV in our site (2) was the best I've had in terms of quality and selection in all the camping we've done in the past 2 years. With WiFi it would be a 10
We attempted to stay here. Park is all new, but owners were ill advised regarding site preparations. Sites ( tried 4) were not level and rock used was too large and unstable. I noted that cable is not available because not all sites have cable. After selecting the 4th site, and leveling with 2 2X12's found no cable available. Office said cable limited to certain rows of sites at this time. The office person was very gracious about refunding our 2 day's rent. We stayed elsewhere.
A very nice older RV park with plenty of shade and generously sized sites. Spent some time in a site near the entrance and in front of the office. Found it quite noisy. A few days later stayed at an interior site and found it very quiet and comfortable. Owners very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
A nice older park. Interior sites are quite narrow because of trees and brush which also provides a level of privacy but would benefit from trimming. Had to move our 34' 5th wheel several times to accommodate opening our 3 slides without going in to the trees/brush. Wi-Fi was available at our site, while others had to go to the office for good reception. Office staff very helpful. We would stay here again.
An older eclectic rv park. Staff was very helpful. After I found a site we liked, and found we couldn't open our slides, they came with a chain saw and lopers and cleared away the brush so we could open our slides. Heavy brush separates each site. Near scenic Hoodsport WA. We will visit again.
A nice, compact, older RV park on the Yakima River near Cle Elum Washington. A great place to stop for a day or two to visit Roslyn WA. the home of "Northern Exposure" the tv series. If you stop here beware of the interior sites. They are long enough for many rigs, but are very narrow. Assigned a site on our last visit, I found it was not wide enough, because of trees and brush, to open our slides. In the future, we will forgo the pull thru central sites and back in to those next to the river with more width. Staff is very friendly. They do have a very well stocked RV store. We will stay there again.
A very nice park with spacious sites. There is no shade in any site. Although advertised as " on the lake" it is on the river. Location off the freeway is convenient but not particularly scenic as it is close to a secondary highway. Great floating restaurant nearby. We would stay there again.
A spacious no frills campground. Spaces are reasonably separated but lack any trees, hedges, etc. between them. Owners very friendly and helpful. OK park for an overnight stop. We would stay there again.
We had a reservation and stopped to check in. In our opinion, to be fair, I would rate the park "stark" at best. The trees are immature and provide no shade whatever. The sites were unpaved and dusty. The office staff was friendly and refunded our full deposit. Even with the discount coupons offered on the internet, we found the park not acceptable and found another more comfortable park nearby.
A very nice, well maintained KOA park. Sites are spacious and well maintained. Patio sites are especially nice if your going to be there for a few days. Open air restaurant, offering breakfast and dinner, staffed by foreign students very reasonably priced. Food quality is excellent. Only negative is the road to the park. It is very rough and seriously in need of repaving. It was so bad that I drove down the wrong side of the road when there was no opposing traffic to avoid it. We would stay there again. (In fact we did on our return trip)
This is the nicest park we have stayed in for quite some time. Sites are spacious, well groomed, and not jammed together. Office staff are very friendly and helpful. Park is pet friendly, and if requested, pet "babysitting" available while touring Yellowstone on day trips. Only negative is the high $4-9 daily charge for WiFi.
An older "no frills" RV park with large easy to access sites. Discount coupon's offered at check-in only applied to store purchases (excluding fuel). Store staff accommodating but not particularly friendly. Easy access to I84. Fine for an overnight stay. Bonus, they do accept PPA. We would stay there again.
An older but nice park. Many of the sites are narrow. We have a 34' 5th wheel with three slides. I tried 2 sites until able to get into the 3rd and open my slides. Buildings and office in a western theme. Office staff friendly and helpfull. WiFi is available for $2 per day. Of the 14 parks we stayed in on this trip, only 1 other charged for WiFi the rest offered it free of additional charge. We would stay there again.
An excellent campground if it were not for the frequent trains all night long. We were warned about them but were told that if we are on the street side of the park, away from the tracks, the trains would not be a problem. Not so. The trains came by every 40 - 60 minutes all night long. We were unable to get any rest. We will not stay here again.
