Rate based on monthly rate. Planned to spend 6 months; however, may change plans if ant/honey bee hive problems are not resolved. Never had pest problems in our 3.5 yrs of camping. Now have daily ant fight!! Ants thick on curb at registry area. Sites are short and the ones for big rigs barely accommodate our Heartland Landmark Augusta. Love the park's location and amenities. Dead plants need to be removed, especially along Devonshire street side against brick wall. Have beautiful view of surrounding mountains out the rear window. Shopping and relatives close by make our stay worth the hassle. Stayed two years ago for a week and did not experience any problems in the short term parking area.
Rate based on one month's stay (depart 9/14/09). Electric is separate @.08/kwh, which is a terrific find. Sites are extra wide to allow room for vehicle parking and a table. We stayed in the lower section on last row so not much highway noise and heard the train very seldom. Great area for fresh produce and landscaping plants. Wonderful scenic drives nearby and also good location for day trips to the coast. A quiet park, well maintained. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Would camp here again if returning to the area.
Rate based on monthly stay of $290 (includes electric). Easy access from I-84. Site parking a little tight. Site length barely fit our 42' fifth wheel and dually truck. Some trees interfere with awning/slides on some sites. We were moved to long-term site so not as level as overnight sites. No table at long-term either. Although many long-term folks with not so new units utilize three parking lanes; the remaining two short-term lanes provide ample parking for overnighters. Sites are packed gravel with strips of grass and a tree or two between. Owner works hard to maintain the park and his vegetable garden. Well water is great here but we still use triple filter system for our rig. Water is soft so no need for the water softener attached. Country living with shopping within 10-20 miles and wineries and orchards galore.
Easy on/off access and adequate room inside park to move our 42' fifth wheel. All gravel throughout. Everything leveled up good as someone drags a grading blade around on what looks like a daily basis. They were kicking up the dust when we were setting up. Park sits on a hilltop so you see the surrounding mountains and rain clouds in the distance. Flying J at next exit is very visible. Far enough off interstate for noise to not be a major problem and railroad is seen beside the interstate but train noise was not noticeable. Great park for overnight stop. Cappy's Restaurant across the street appeared to be a popular eating place. We ate downtown at Square Shooters. Later learned it is most expensive in the area and basically offers a lot of sandwiches and salads. Advertised homemade cooking and pies were not in evidence.
Rate based on Good Sam and weekly rate. Easy to locate and enter/exit the park. Very well kept sites. Inroads are paved. Sites are gravel and wide grassy areas between sites. There is an on-site stained glass artist. Well stock RV store at office. Book exchange available. Shade is wonderful and we got a site that allowed use of our satellite without problems. AT&T air card works great with 3G service. Park wi-fi available but did not use. Stayed here to visit nearby Golden Spike Historical Site and the Migratory Bird Sanctuary. Would stay here again.
Spent a week attending a Heartland RV owners' rally. Site is gravel and grass and back-in. All hookups are at the rear which requires at least 20' of water hose and sewer hose. Our electric cord is at rear corner of coach so no problem. Paved in-roads. AT&T data is 3G. Our stay was great because of the many friends also present.
Check-in was quick. Led to park by helpful staff member. Gravel in-roads and parking pads with plenty of grass between sites. Great length pull-throughs. Few trees which allowed great access for our satellite. Free WiFi added plus. Would stay here again.
Stayed 2 nights at Passport rate after we showed desk clerk sheet we printed out from Passport America website listing their park. Not impressed by clerk's knowledge of check-in procedures or knowledge of campsites. We were placed in long-term, member area under trees in a very tight space for a 42' back-in. We parked truck in space next to us. We asked for open site of sky and did not get it so no satellite. AT&T reception 2G and slow. Park WiFi is $5/day extra. Although concrete parking pads, they were covered in tree debris and bottles/cans were strewn about. Sites needed mowing. Long-term sites very jumbled and no parking for owners' vehicles. Can't imagine what they do if park is ever full. Won't stay there again.
