We stayed here in our 40' motorhome, sites were fairly level and it was nice for a site near the interstate. The park was clean, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The park is far enough off the interstate that there is no road noise and it was easy to find. We were able to get verizon aircard signal and direct TV as well. We stayed during the week, so there were no children around, but it appeared to be a very kid friendly park.
We stayed here during the week and found it to be very quiet, clean and had a lovely stay. Our rig is 40, the pull though was level and gave us a nice view of the lake and a clear view of the southern sky. We would certainly stay here again. Near to I-65 without being too close, so there was no traffic noise and very easy to find. There were no children there (it was Monday), but many of the rigs were decorated with Halloween items, so I imagine this park would be very child friendly as well.
We called ahead to see if this resort was big rig friendly, they said yes. Well, it wasn't rig friendly at all. We have a 40 diesel and had a terrible time getting in and out of the resort (I use the term Resort loosely). At one point we thought we were going to have to un-hook the toad so we could get though the park. There is a KOA just a few miles west, that was cleaner and really was big rig friendly.
The sites were fairly level, and easy to park our rig and toad. The park was not very tidy and appeared to have most sites rented to seasonal folks. All in all, it was an okay park, but certainly not worth the money. If we return to Gettysburg (which I'm sure we will), we will find another park perhaps in a nearby town. Everything in Gettysburg is expensive.
Campgrounds don't get any better than this one. The sites were level and the grounds were immaculate. We stayed here for about 2 weeks while we had our rig repaired. The service was fantastic, happy employees , Wi-Fi available in the lounge area, and the restaurant is great with two charming happy cooks, great breakfast and lunch. The entire visit was a pleasure. If you're anywhere east of Asheville, NC on I-40 this is certainly a nice stop, especially if you've got repairs to make on your RV.
