OK, but nothing spectacular. Decent size spots, but absolutely no shade or privacy. Nice campfire pit per spot. First KOA we've seen with their own coffee corner and prof. espresso machine. 45 min. drive from Grand Canyon.
Very nice! An Oasis in the desert. Big camp-spots, very clean an tidy. Friendly and helpful personnel. You can tell the people are committed to making this campground a nice place to stay. Ideally situated between Barstow and the Ghost town of Calico. Brilliant diner on the other site of the freeway (not Peggy Sue's)
It is not as nice as some reviews say. In all fairness, we arrived the day after the county fair, but still. A very cheerless campground, with narrow spaces and cheap, dirty, picnic sets. The ladies behind desk are a bit grumpy. The campground is 1 hour from Hollywood and 1 hour from long beach (with small rental car). LA + Campground were disappointing, so we decided to leave a day early. The campground has "a strict no refund policy." I think they have people leaving earlier more often.
