First time at the park. Not too many sites for a large motorhome with a tow. You have to watch out for the trees as you drive through the park. They had some young workers that escort you to your site. Not a lot of room between sites. Most people were there for a night as they were heading north after spending the winter down south. Probably would not return.
They have made some of the pull thru sites smaller by putting cement pads in, which makes it for close quarters with your neighbors and you may not be able to put out your awnings or slides on both sides. I would ask for A SITE THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE PADS so you have more room for a big rig. Besides that the campground is still good for a stop over heading north or south.
Nice campground. OO section is where you want to be if you have a big rig. Also D 3 & 4. Sites are nice, but the roads to the sites are a little tight, but ok. They have speed bumps so watch out and take your time. I agree with a previous person that it would be hard to make a left out of the campground with your motorhome due to traffic, but you can go down the road and go through the Publix to turn around and get a light. Nice location and its 9 miles to downtown Charlestown and its an easy drive on 17. Would stop again if in the area.
This is a nice park, with great work campers who escort you to your site. There are a lot of trees; but if you take it slow, it is not a problem even with a 45 MH. Nice pool and owners are friendly. The only problem is that you will probably have trees over your coach which will drop leaves and pollen depending on the season. There is a lot to do on the Island. We stayed five days. We will return in the future.
This is our second time here. They have paved the front of the park since our last visit. You really have to watch what sites you are given if you are 45'. The sites slop down in the front and are not level. I had to change sites twice and it was still not level. My advice is to check the slop before you start to set up. Besides watching for the slop in the sites, it is a nice park for a stop over heading north or south.
First time here. Close to I-95 heading north or south. Many of the sites will need some new paving in the future. Sites are big enough that you can pull in with out having to unhook your tow vehicle. It is a little tight. If you have a 45' motor home it is easier to be in the first row. You do hear the airport traffic as they fly over head. Would stop again for an over night stop
Rate is based on pay for two nights one night free. It is a small park but has a great view of the Gulf if you have a water view site. It is tight but you can manage with a 45' motor home. Has a nice Tiki hut where people gather and have happy hour. Nice small clean pool. Management very friendly and escort you to your site. Bike paths near by. Great restaurants within a seven mile drive or less. Will return in the future.
Nice park that keeps a few pull through sites open all year. Spent two nights here on the way south. Close by Shipsawana for a day trip for Amish goods. Near Lake James and Daves Lake Shack which is a great place to eat. We will stop again in the spring.
Nice clean campground with pull thru sites. Very friendly. easy access off of 95. Spent four days here to avoid hurricane Sandy. Lots to do. Jekyll Island and San Simmons Island. Great sea food restaurants. Will stop again if in the area.
Nice small park with pavers throughout the park. We had a site on the river with a great view. Very friendly staff and a nice sports bar. They even have a pontoon boat that you can use. The only draw back is the noise from the air boat. They run from 9-5 daily. Early in the morning you can hear the shrimp boats heading out to sea. It is a great park and we will return.
Nice campground with lots of activities for class A motorhomes. Very friendly owners, and you are welcome to participate in activities. Some events there is a charge. This is a great area since Marco Island and Naples are near by. Rate is based on a monthly rate. Will return. Can't beat the nice weather.
Nice park. Sites are close together. Many activities. Met's Ballpark is in walking distance. Half hour drive to beaches on the ocean. Very friendly park. Rate is FMCA discount. Will return if in the area again.
We were in a pull-through site in the 200 section. Most sites seem to be level. If you have a large Motor home you need to be in the 200 or 700 section. Place looks like it would be crowded in the summer time. The roads are not the greatest, so take your time. Lots of pot holes. Would return again for a night traveling back north or heading south.
First visit to the park. We were there for warranty work on our motor home. Nice big back in sites. They have a restaurant for breakfast and lunch at the service area. Very clean park. Biltmore Estate is 30 miles away. We were here for four days. Would recommend the park if you need service.
Stayed here one night. Original site was not level and very muddy from the previous days rain. We were given another site which was fine. We were in the newer section which is far away from the restrooms. Country music is a short walk on the weekends, with stores and a restaurant. OK for a one night stay.
Stopped here on the way to Florida. Has a few large pull-through sites. Close to I-75. Great for a one night stop. We have a 42' coach. I usually don't stop at KOA's but will stop here again, on the way to Florida.
Lots of construction in Gettysburg and you will have to go through detours. Pull through sites are long but you are real close to your neighbor. We were in a 30 amp site. Seems like a nice campground for an over night stay. We would come back if we are in the area.
We have not been to the campground in eight years. We have a 40' MH and the site we were given was not very level. We were only staying one night. They have coffee in the mornings at the office. A nice campground for children.
Nice clean park. It is a membership only park. They have 46 sites for Coast to Coast members. Sites are back in. Only ten sites are big enough for a 40' MH. Sites are down by a river with nice views. Very friendly staff. It probably gets real crowded during the summer months.
We camped using Coast to Coast. We have not been here for nine years. Staff is friendly and very helpful. All sites have pads. They are fairly close together but you have room to back into your site. Bathrooms and showers are clean. You can walk to the Ocean or Bay. Wi-fi works most of the time. Nice indoor heated pool. The only drawback is that it does get windy. It was off season and quiet. We will return.
We camped here using Coast to Coast. Sites were back-in and they need some work to trim away branches. They don't look like they have been worked on. You have to work to get level. It was quiet and the staff is very friendly. It is a membership park and most spots are seasonal. Nice short drive to Chincoteague. Not a destination spot but it's ok for a night or two.
We were first here in the park eight years ago. They have added more sites. The pull-thru's are big with plenty of room. Sites also have plenty of room and are level. For a deposit you can get a pass for the town beach which is a plus. Well planned out park and we will return again. Not far from Mystic or the casinos.
Nice campground that is close to Philadelphia. Owners are very helpful with maps of the area. The only drawback is that the sites are close together. We will return when visiting the Philadelphia area.
We camped here with a 40' Mh. Nice friendly owners. Great heated pool and clean rest rooms. They need to trim away a few high branches. The only drawbacks of the campground is that they don't have 50amp and only 8 full hookups. We have camped here since the 90's and would return again.
Nice quiet park. They do not allow pets. Friendly staff. The park is clean. Some sites you would have a hard time getting level if you have a big rig. Nice location to the outlets and Lake George. We will return in the future.
Park used to be an animal preserve so the roads to camp sites are extremely windy. Also the sites are not well marked and campground map leaves a lot to be desired. You might be at least a half mile away from the pool. Lots of bugs at night. The campground is very quiet and in a great location. We will return in the fall.
Camped there the week before Easter. They have made more improvements since we were there two years ago. Plenty of activites. A great place to relax. Very clean and you can walk to the ocean. Have booked a site for next year.
