They are expanding, and we had a pull thru in the new section. Site was level and very long, concrete patio with crushed stone pad. There was lots of room between sites; CG was full, but we didn't feel cramped at all. This place is going to be awesome when they get all the expansion done. One other point, when I called to make reservations, I was told it was considered a holiday because of Republic of TX motorcycle rally, and there was a 3 night minimum. I told the owner we were not bikers, just coming to see our daughter and wanted to try their CG, so she was nice enough to only charge us for the 2 nights we were going to be there. Great people in the office when we registered. We will be back.
Even though this is connected to the dealership, it is an excellent campground. Sites are long pull thrus, with a picnic table and shrubbery between the sites for privacy. We picked lemons off the tree on our site and made a lemon pie. We arrived when the dealership was having one of their celebrations and had a free Bar-Q dinner and got to browse a few vendors. We will be back here.
This is a new campground, parts of it were not finished. Sites are very very close together. We had a hard time getting our 40' into a pull in site and had to park our tow on part of the neighbors site, luckily they had a 5th wheel and were OK with it. We had even a harder time getting out. Not sure we would stay here again, just not big rig usable.
This is a good over night stop, not sure we'd want to stay for any length of time. Sites are short and a little hard getting in and out, kind of like packed in like sardines. No cable available and WiFi is Tengo, which is not a problem; at least it worked. We had a standard site, premium and deluxe only gets you closer to the clubhouse and pool. We didn't use showers or laundry so can't comment on that. We probably would stay again if in the area, get the benefits of Phoenix without the noise and traffic.
This campground is out in the middle of nowhere, but a great place to stay to take in the sights in Tombstone. Friendly, helpful staff. Laundry was clean and not too expensive. It got down to 24 degrees the night we were there and they ask you to disconnect the water hoses if freezing weather is expected. It was not a problem for us, just used our own water that night. They charge 13 cents per kilowatt electricity, but even with us running electric heat all night, our charge was only 3.00. The surrounding mountains were gorgeous and after dark we could hear the coyotes howling in the fields behind the park. We would stay here again if in the area.
Our first time to use the Red Shoe campground, not our first time to the casino. Rapid check in from 2 very friendly ladies, sites are large pull thrus, some grass in between, lots of lighting at night but not too much to keep you awake. Everything was clean and well maintained. Now one of our favorite casinos will also be one of our favorite campgrounds. We will return.
This is a huge park but doesn't have that impersonal feeling at all. Staff was excellent, always speaking and offering help. We loved the cafe on site and made use of the on site store too. Laundry was clean and there are several scattered around the complex. We were able to get our coach cleaned up on site and propane delivered to us. This is a great place to stay for a Vegas trip. It is located just off the south strip, easy to get to the casinos. Sites are large and level with a picnic table. We will stay here again.
This is turning out to be one of our favorite campgrounds off I-10. They have a friendly staff who will escort you to your site and help you get hooked up. We had a long pull-thru where we could keep our tow connected. Breakfast served in the mornings. Laundry had lots of machines and was very clean. Staff was very helpful with suggestions for places to eat and things to see in the area.
No longer associated with KOA, this is a very clean, friendly park. It is right off I-10 but you don't hear the highway noise. There is a small restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner, food was home cooked and very good. We were able to keep our tow connected on the pull thru site. This is a great place to stop on your way in and out of Texas. We will use it again.
Since this is where we purchased our motorhome, we've stayed here several times for service appointments. For that purpose it works fine, but I wouldn't want to stay here any length of time. There are lots of workers living there. The campground is kept clean and mowed, interior roads are in need of repair but most sites are level concrete pads. Cagella's and Wal-Mart are right next door and there are several good eating places within walking distance.
This is a very unique campground, with birds and animals. We loved it here, very quiet. As others have stated they take you to your site, get you hooked up and the overnight parking is all in a row, but it works. Somee of the friendliest bunch of employees we've ever seen. And the wifi was fast and free!
This is a very neat, attractive park, easy parking, good interior roads. Only complaint was the wifi was slow, slow, slow and would drop you offline frequently. Other than that, a great place to stay.
