Avoid this park! It is hazardous to your safety, and this has nothing to do with park facilities. We drove in with our car to see if it would be better than the park we were in, and without stopping at any time we turned around to leave. As we passed the office three people jumped IN FRONT OF MY CAR. I stopped and a woman stood in front, touching the front bumper, telling me if I moved she was going to "sue for assault". Another person closed and locked the front gate to further prevent us from getting out of the park. The Sheriff was called at my request. The campground filed an assault charge -- and I countered with "unlawful restraint". We were delayed in Van Horn for a court appearance, and finally told by a Sheriff's Deputy to go ahead and "just leave". Besides the aggravation, the safety issue was that if any of the three who jumped in front of my car had a weapon I would have run over them. That would have been a homicide investigation -- for just looking at a campground. Do not patronize this park! In fact, I will never stop in the county (Culberson) again.
