My husband and I spend our summers at Crazy Horse and we loved it. We have a permanent spot there from April to Oct and then we head to our home in Texas for the winter. Last winter while our home was being built, we stayed in our motor home in Van Horn at the KOA, which was great, but we are looking forward to Crazy Horse for the summer. After 10 years of camping there, we have a lot of friends there and its a very family orientated park, lots of things for the kids and grandkids to do, as well as tubing and canoeing on the river. Monroe and Janesville are close and fun places to go to shop or eat.
We stayed in the campground from November of 2012 to March of 2013 and loved every minute of it. We paid a monthly rate that averaged out to about $15.00 a day. They have a nice pond where catch and release is allowed. Two fenced in doggie areas where your pet can run and play alone or with others. The spaces are big and some of the smaller ones do have shade. But the thing I like best was their cafe. If you pull in late in the evening, you can go and have dinner in the cafe. The food is good and the prices are fair. In the morning, you can walk from your rig to the cafe and have a great breakfast. The owners are delightful and attend to your needs quickly. I would recommend this KOA to anyone traveling along Highway 10 in Texas.
