All concrete pull thrus, nice and wide. Not sure about prior comment about narrow turns. Plenty of big rigs with toads in the sites and watched half a dozen pull in later with no trouble. Nicely maintained, no shade, but good grass and shrubs. Pool was clean and open, though a bit chilly in early April. Staff efficient, if not particularly welcoming. WiFi strong signal but way too low bandwidth for the number of guests. Depending on the time of day and number of users, it can work fine or it can exhibit very slow loading of webpages. OK to access email. Don't even attempt a video, not even a short you tube. Electric and water fine. Sewer has small sloped collar, so might need an extension. Convenient access to I-95 and weekend flea market. Not much else nearby but great for an overnight stop.
Although pricey, you are within walking distance to French Quarter New Orleans. Do not walk after dark, however. Take a cab. Very nice pool and hot tub. Laundry small, machines work fine. Nice sites with grass and brick pavers. All back in, angled sites. Mostly level, some settling may have occurred with some of the pavers. Nice power pedestals. OK WiFi signal, have to constantly re login, but bandwidth fine. We stayed two nights and would stay again.
Nice park, especially for the price. Very friendly and helpful new owners. Electric recently upgraded, surface mostly crushed granite with taller pine trees between sites. Free transportation to and from town provided for those who don't want to unhook, which is a nice offer. Bath and laundry are clean, being improved step by step. A bit worn in some aspects, brand new in others. It is not a beautiful, grassy park as compared to other parts of the country, but it is West Texas, and this is one of the better choices in this town. We will definitely stay here again when traveling through.
This is an older park that is trying hard, but still has a ways to go. Office hours are 8-10 am and 4-7 pm. If you arrive outside these hours, you choose a vacant spot and settle up when the office next opens. This park filled by 4 the day we stayed there. Water pressure is very low, and sometimes just a dribble. Sites were a bit narrow, but all easy access pull thru. Nice grass between sites, blocks provided for under jacks, daily local paper delivered, and nice pond to walk around. We were unable to check out the store, bath, or propane due to the limited office hours. Code required to access bathhouse and toilets. Laundry was clean, only $1.50 wash, 1.00 dry. It's a quiet location and fine for a simple overnight stop, but you will need to get the WiFi and bath codes from the office during their limited hours.
First the good. This park is charming in location and landscaping with flowers, shrubs, and beautiful live oaks covered with Spanish moss. There are many activities and events for the residents ti include a sparkling clean pool and a scenic location next to a fishing and canoeing creek. The people are quite friendly and provided escort to the site and parking assistance. Water pressure was good and electric tested out correctly. Now for the disappointing. As we were only staying one night, we were assigned a spot in the overflow with only water and electric 10 feet from the trash compacter. The site had no sewer hookup, no table, and no gravel or concrete pad even though we paid the full daily rate charged for a complete site. We were told all one night stays are assigned to this area. FHU sites were available and empty when we walked around the park. There is one laundry/bathhouse (6 sets of washer dryers and 3 showers and toilets each for men and women) for the entire park, and the one trash dumpster/compacter. The compacter runs and grinds every time anyone puts a bag of garbage in, even after quiet hours. Roads are narrow in this park, and there are many trees and tight corners. Most sites are back-in and are not angled, but sit perpendicular to the road. Be sure to arrive during office hours so you can find your spot and determine the best way to get to your location. Office hours are 9-4.
