Nice grounds and a lot to do for the kids between the heated pool and lake with inflatable toys. I would not suggest staying up on the seasonal area if you have a bigger unit. We could not unhook or use the sewer hook-ups in this section in our original site. The office was very helpful in moving us to a open seasonal site, but it was still small as we couldn't get the 5er in there all the way. What would have worked would be a tractor, but not with my truck. The seasonal area was very quiet, and folks in this area very friendly. The buildings were clean and well maintained. Park was nice for the kids. Golf carts need to be parked by 9 PM. We'll go back, but request to be in the more the overnight area down by the lake / pool.
Just got back from Wolf River CG and had a good time. It was nice to tube the long river trip, which has been doable for the last 4-5 years. What wasn't nice was all the flies and mosquitoes that come with the rain. We had a river front site, which allowed the girls to play right behind the camper. The site was very spongy because of the rain, but level. I would give them a 10 if they got rid of the coin showers.
The nightly rate is one thing, the amenity fee is another $24 for a family of 4. The pool is great for kids, but once the kids get older they'll be looking for more. Plenty of activities for kids. Our pull-thru site could use some gravel and grading as our sewer hook-up was about 1 1/2ft higher than the ground around it making the tank dumping a bit challenging. Nice jumping pillow and nice new playground mid park for little ones. We'll stay here again as it's the only decent full service park between Milwaukee and Chicago.
We have camped several times and have always been pleased. Sites are somewhat level, always good water pressure (except when they are filling the pool). It's well maintained and if the pool was heated or even if it had a solar cover, I would give it a 10.
We stayed here for the 4th of July weekend and couldn't have been more pleased. The staff was very friendly and professional. Sites were level and descent size, water pressure and quality was good. Cable TV was a real plus for the kids. Beach was nice as was the water trampoline. Close to 4th festivities and a nice bike trail. We'll definitely look to Camp Holiday for our next Northwoods visit.
This park is nothing special but the owners think it's gold. The beach is nice, with unfriendly life guards. The one life guard actually blew the her whistle and told the kids "no screaming" while they were playing. The only friendly staff we found was a gentleman (not the owner) who escorted us to our site, and the bartenders. Nightly security was rude and not very professional. Each night they came by and said "It's 10 PM radio off" no politeness like "it's 10 PM please turn it down". If you want to use a credit card it's a $2.00 charge for every $20.00 and first purchase must be at least $20.00. You can only use the beach for each night you buy. So if you come in on Friday and leave Sunday you only get 2 beach days if you want more it's $10 per person. The rule and regulations posted on the site are only a 1/4 of what they give you at check-in. I see no mention of "Pet Crap" on the website like their handout. I'm really not sure why the owners allow overnighters they are really rude. I would give this place a lower score if it wasn't for the beach. Didn't use their shower or bathrooms. I was afraid too, might get yelled at. Our site was somewhat level. The dump station tilted the wrong way at one of the dumps. We won't stay here again, unless the staff including the owners take a class in Customer Service or they get new management.
