Very friendly staff and very accommodating. This camp is located right off the highway and there is a lot of noise from the road. We had a space in the front of the park in front of the office which didn’t help our situation. Very good Wi-Fi and very convenient location to getting on and off the freeway to visit sites in the area. Wide and level spaces.
The staff is friendly and very accommodating. We requested a site that wasn’t surrounded by too many trees since we had spent a few nights without satellite. Our spot was perfect. There were tight turns within the park, but we were able to maneuver them and get into our space with little difficulty. Wi-Fi was spotty. Close to South Bend as advertised and close to Keystone Manufacturer. Would stay here again.
References as the Cabin Capital of Ohio for a reason. Lots of cabins and tent campers, so they really don’t accommodate the big rigs much. They pride themselves on level, grassy, pull-thrus, however, after a very rainy season, their grassy pull-thrus were mud, mud, and more mud. When we encountered about getting some sand or gravel to fill in the major mud puddle we had when setting up, we were basically told it wasn’t going to happen. I understand that now since they were busy turning their grassy sites into gravel. It was very noisy. They have fruit trees between the rigs so very messy and lots of flies. They also are very low if you have a big rig (ours is 37 feet with 3 slides). Just stayed overnight, however, would not stay here again.
Staff very friendly. Sites were not level. Interior roads could use some work. Wi-Fi was spotty. Water pressure was low. Lots of traffic within the park, cars coming and going. Good for overnight stay.
The driveway into this facility has a curb on both sides which makes it a little challenging with the rig. The staff is friendly. The laundry facility is clean. It is located in the heart of Amish country and very convenient to tour the area. We had a back-in site, however, when we arrived no one was in the spot behind us so we were able to pull through. There were only two rigs in this open area and it would have been nicer to have a little distance between us and the rig next to us. It was nice and quiet. Wi-Fi was slow and disconnected often.
The spaces in this park are nice, long, and wide. It is conveniently located to tour Gettysburg. It is nice and quiet. The wi-Fi was a little slow. We had satellite reception. The laundry facilities were clean. Easy access in and out of the park.
We added two extra days to our stay here so we had to forfeit our pull thru and take a back-in site. Unfortunately, that site was up against the freeway so we had a lot of road noise. It was extremely hot and humid so our air was on the whole time which toned down the noise slightly. We were in the trees, so unable to get satellite reception. We also looked onto a permanent building (trailer) which didn’t add favorably to our experience. It was a convenient location to travel to Washington DC.
The staff is friendly. Because it is located deep in the trees, we were not able to get satellite. There wasn’t very good cell phone reception. Our space was big and level. We did not feel crowded. Would not recommend for overnighters since it is located about 10 miles off the main road. However, we stayed here three nights and it was convenient for the touring we did in the area.
Nice, big campground. Easy pull through to maneuver. We were in the very back of the park with a wide open area behind us so it seemed more spacious to us. Other rows had back-ins that were literally back to back, so happy with our site. Wi-Fi is slow. Staff was very helpful. We had an issue with our rig (hydraulic leak) and they were helpful in getting it fixed and understanding in the mess it created. Laundry was nice and dryers worked well. There were four washers and dryers, but for two washes you only needed one dryer so you were able to move clothes along. Great location for the touring we did. It is conveniently located off the freeway without the noise.
This campground use to be a mobile home facility so it isn’t your typical campground. We had a pull through space which was very long and accommodating. The spaces are gravel, nice and big. You won’t have a neighbor on top of you. We had lots of room. Lots of trees so no satellite, but they had cable. The WiFi worked efficiently. No laundry facilities on site which wasn’t good considering we were here for 4 days and it rained all 4 days on and off, more on than off so the perfect time to do laundry. Did get to watch the squirrels run around and deer pass through. Lots of fireflies at night that were a bonus. Was a little out of the way for the area we toured. Needed to be closer to Durham, but would stay here again if staying in Chapel Hill.
This has been our most expensive campground to date. We have been on the road for two months. The sign isn’t visible until you are on top of it so we passed it by and had to turn around. We had a pull through site in the back so it was nice and quiet. It rained very heavily which caused flooding around the rig. Packing up was awful with all the flooding and standing water. They had an ice cream social and clogging presentation the two nights we were here. Both were fun to attend. The park had a lot of turns to maneuver around when leaving, not fun. It was a little out of the way for the touring we were doing (Civil War sites), but don’t know if there was anything closer to where we needed to be.
This was a nice campground and conveniently located for the touring we needed to do. We had a pull through close to the office and it was easy to get in, set up, and get out. The site had a combination of gravel and sand, but mostly sand once it rained which was challenging when breaking camp since hoses and cords were now covered with sand. Didn’t use the laundry facility since it was a constant stream of folks coming and going. Trash trucks picking up at 3:00 a.m. were quite noisy slamming containers around. Lots of people coming and going so every day there was noise from rigs. We would still stay here again just further away from the office.
This campground was very convenient for our needs. There is a shuttle that provides transportation to the downtown area so you don’t have to drive all the time. It is very family friendly so the pool is packed with children especially on the weekends. The site was clean and neat. Almost no water pressure. We had our pump on all the time so had to fill our fresh water tank often. We stayed here 5 nights. It is easy in and out of the park. The staff is friendly and helpful. It also has an ice cream shop which comes in handy. It is within a mile from the Grand Ole Opry. We would stay here again.
This campground is right in the park and very convenient for that visit. We picked a site with full hook-ups, but outside the main area. That turned out to be perfect since we were pretty much by ourselves and not on top of another rig. The site itself could use a lot of work. Very uneven. Gravel pretty torn up and dead branches of a tree hanging down that needed to be remove, so they didn’t interfere with our rig. Narrow internal roads and can be difficult to negotiate. Staff was helpful and don’t miss the laser show at the park in the evening. When all is said and done, we would stay here again.
Stay here if you must, but we warned. The road leading to this park is a very narrow two lane highway. It is approximately 5 miles off the road. The last quarter mile is a one lane highway. The laundry does not dry the clothes using $1.00 worth of coins as indicated. It is not opened 24 hours. It is not a big park, but settled in next to a river, surrounded by trees which makes for nice camping. A good spot if you are not touring the area. Low water pressure. Great if you want to launch a boat, they have a launch ramp. There is barely cell phone reception, however, we did have a booster antenna and that gave us three bars. They keep referencing to use their Wi-Fi, which we would hardly ever connect to. They do have a land line phone at the office and are more than accommodating to allow use without charge. Pull through sites are curved and not friendly for 5th wheels. Using this campground to tour the area wasn’t our first choice and probably wouldn’t stay again to be coming and going. Very nice to just stay put and camp.
This is another RVC park in which we stayed and probably not our favorite. It was very crowded. We could only get a back in site (no reservations) which became challenging because of the car in front of us overflowed his space slightly. However, the back in site was nice with a green patch of grass between us and the other rigs. We have a 5th wheel and it is nice not to look in our neighbor’s window when using a back in. The staff was accommodating, but I wouldn’t say they went out of their way to assist you. They were always busy with their computers when I entered the office. It is a perfect stop for visiting the Great Smoky Mountains, Dollywood, and Gatlinburg. You wouldn’t want to drive much further on the main road with a rig (very, very crowded). We would stay here again.
This park is used for coming and going, so just keep that in mind. It is clean and the staff is friendly. The pull through sites are long, but a little closer together than what we have been used to. They are gravel sites. We used this campground to tour Civil War sites in the area and that worked well. It is easy on and off the freeway, but not too close for the noise. We would stay here again.
This was a beautiful campground. It is easy to get in and out of for the two days we were here. Long pull through concrete sites. Very spacious, clean, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We were practically the only people within the park at this time of year. The pool and spa were clean. The laundry was reasonable and actually dried the clothes as indicated. We would stay here again.
This park needs some TLC. The upper sites overlooking the baseball fields are gravel and not very level. Water pressure is low. The interior roads are narrow but can accommodate a large RV. We had a strange man knock on the side of our RV at 6 AM and then proceed to walk around the park talking to the trees. I don't know if he lives in the park or was a wandering crazy. The cable and Wi-Fi were very good. Would not stay here again. This could be a nice park with a little work.
This is a nice park. Sites are level and very wide and some sites are on the bay. There is a boat launch and very quiet. Water pressure was good and the park is well maintained. We would stay here again.
The park is on a canal and was rebuilt after Katrina. All the internal roads are dirt and gravel, which makes a lot of dust. Spots are wide and level. Water pressure is low and electricity is stable. There is a bar and cafe on the the grounds and the facilities are nice. The small store has the basics. The surrounding area is very depressed and run down. The park is secure and well maintained. They have a man here who will wash your RV for a fee. We would stay here again.
Nice park with clean and level sites. It is an older park so no bells and whistles, but there is plenty of room. The hookups are in the very rear of the rig rather than in the middle so you will need to accomodate accordingly. It is located right off Highway 61 so don't listen to your navigation system about turning down local streets. That is not necessary. You can see it from the highway. We did not hear any highway noise and it is easy access in and out of the park. Very nice and friendly staff to help with your needs in touring Vicksburg. We would stay here again.
What a gem. This is a nice and clean park with big and level spaces. A tight turn from the road to the park itself, but well worth it. We camped here to visit sites in Shiloh, Tennessee and the area surrounding and including Tupelo, so this was a convenient campground. It is close to the Natchez Trace Parkway which made it convenient for travel (no commercial vehicles allowed on the parkway). An abundance of shopping and restaurants just down the road. We would stay here again.
A very nice park. Easy access to the attractions we were there to visit such as Graceland. Beale Street, Sun Studio, and downtown was easy access (within 5 miles) from this location. The park was clean and staff very friendly. Spaces are close together; although, it was too muggy for us to sit out and enjoy so this wasn't an inconvenience for us. It has a quaint store and souvenir shop even though Graceland souvenirs are within walking distance. The only drawback was jets very earlier in the morning. We heard about 3 take off around 2 AM, then it was quiet. We would stay here again.
This was a very nice campground right on Lake Catherine. Nice big and level sites. Easy to maneuver within the park. Easy access to attractions we were interested in seeing. Pool was clean and refreshing on the hot days. We stayed here 4 nights. It did rain our last night here and there were no puddles in the morning. We would stay here again.
We stayed here with the sole purpose of visiting the Pea Ridge National Military Park. It was within 10 miles of the park so the drive was convenient. You better write or print the directions from the highway to the RV park from the RV website because we could not locate it on either of the two navigation systems we use (Garmin and EZ Navigator). It is approximately 7 to 9 miles off the freeway and down a windy road. We didn't know that when we selected it and may have looked elsewhere. The park itself is interesting. Some long term folks, campsites on steep terraces, and gravel roads. Very tight turns maneuvering. Probably wouldn't stay here again.
This was a nice campground, clean with friendly staff. It was a little of a tight turn into the facility. We stayed overnight, arrived a little late in the evening, left early in the morning so didn't have time to enjoy the area or have any more of an opinion.
It is a wonderful campground. Large, spacious, and clean. Very easy to maneuver around and easy to park and set up. Since it is a littler further off the freeway we didn't think we would hear the freeway noise, but we did. Not enough to discourage us from staying here again. We stayed overnight.
Nice Park. It is next to the I-40 so you get a lot of traffic noise. The staff is very nice and helpful. Sites were level and wide and paved. It is a little tight, but it is accessible to big rigs. Good water pressure but marginal Wi-Fi and the cable is fuzzy. They have a Continental breakfast included in the price. We would stay here again.
Nice place for overnight. Clean and the staff is very nice. Hwy noise was loud and there was a water recycling stations near us and it was annoying. Water pressure was very low. Would stay here again for an overnight stay.
It is a gem of a spot. We stayed on the peninsula next to the river. Great spot if you have a boat. There is a water park attached to this park. They have a nice little restaurant and rental cabins. Great park would stay here again.
Located across from the Honda Center. Only a few miles from Disneyland and Knots Berry Farm. Must visit downtown Orange. The park is clean and well taken care of. Several long term residents, but the short term sites are nice. The Premium and Deluxe sites are nice and have good space. The road noise is constant and loud. Just turn your music up and you will forget it. We will stay here again.
Nice facility. Large sites. A short walk down the bluff to the beach. Great restaurants in downtown San Clemente. The beach trail starts just down the hill from the park, so you can ride bikes along the beach to the pier. Very clean, and the park staff takes good care of the area.
Nice park and the staff is friendly. Some sites are tight. No pull through sites, but they are nice and level. Each site has a fire pit and many trees. Satellite may be difficult, bring your portable. No cell phone reception and no Wi-Fi. Great park for the kids because of the pond. Very quiet and a great getaway. Will stay here again.
Very nice park. Very clean and the sites are large and level. Good Wi-Fi and nice hook-ups. Fire pits at each site. Long walk to the ocean, but if you like to walk it is worth it. You can use the cafe at the El Capitan Canyon resort next door (good food). Some traffic noise from HWY 101. We would stay here again. Summer rates are a bit high, but if you want nice facilities, this is it. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The park is a parking lot. However the back-in sites overlooking the ocean are nice. All sites are very close to each other. No space between ocean view sites. Some of the bluff is falling away and cannot be used now. Soon many of the ocean view sites will be eliminated or need to be moved back. It is convienent and the staff is very friendly. I would stay here again if I need to be in San Francisco.
The park needs upgrading and has numerous resident rigs. Had to stand on my head to plug in my electrical. The sites are tight, but you can get in with a little manuevering. The residents seem to use the spa as a tub. The staff was very helpful. Many trees and it was hard to get satellite, but the cable TV was good. It was convienent and I would stay here again. Follow the directions to enter the park. The turns are very tight and a left turn is easier than a right turn.
Nice park; some sites have a lake view. There are a few sites with shade, but most are open. Can get a bit dusty if there is traffic. Nice lake access and nice beach. Camp was almost empty in October and is nice if you want quiet. Wood was for sale on site.
Very nice park at the north end of Bishop. All sites are large and clean. Some of the pull-through sites are a little unlevel but still nice. Good access for large rigs. The staff was nice and friendly. The do not offer Good Sam or other discounts. Stayed here in a 35' fifth wheel and will come back again.
Very clean park. Nice staff. Centrally located and easy on and off. It would be nice if they had tables on the patios. Limited pull-throughs, but all sites are paved and somewhat level. We would stop here again.
Clean and easy access. The pool was closed and unknown when it will open (important in the summer). Freeway noise is minimal as long as you are in the back of the park. Nice shade trees. We would stay here again.
