I have been going here since I was a kid. The roads are paved and there is enough room to get in and out without any major issues. The staff is friendly and will work with group requests. The down side is the price. Occupancy is based on 2 campers. Certainly not the "family" place I remember when we talk about price. Each child over 5 years of age costs $8. So for a family of 5 the weekday rate is $89 which raises on Friday ($75 + extra person) for the weekend. $435 for a 5 night stay is a little much.

Camped here in a 42' toyhauler, which was a little tight getting in so staff moved our site to make things easier. Staff was extremely friendly. Sites are nicely laid out and some along the lake have their own docks. We kayaked everyday. Lots of seasonal sites but no junk or trash. Site prices rise on weekends.

We frequent this campground every year in late June and early July. The owners continue to make upgrades to the facilities every year. They are currently installing 16' porches on the 50 amp big-rig sites up the hill. Wireless internet is available at the office and up in the big rig area. A video review of the park is available on Youtube and captures only the big rig area.

Well maintained, family run operation. The owner even helped get us situated on the site. Lots of full timers, but no trashy sights, sites, or sounds. Showers are toward the front of the park and a number of bathroom only buildings are situated around the park. The only thing missing is a pool. Fishing and kayaking on the river is great. You are in the middle of farm country. Sites are set up to be deep, and allow for the parking of two cars. Sylvan Beach is 4 miles away (amusement park, beach, seafood).

Kayak and fisher's dream. Two small lakes, mostly paved roads and fair sized sites. Lots and lots of seasonal sites, not too many transient that we saw. All sites are clean and well kept. Bike riders and walkers have plenty to do. The kids will be happy.

Outstanding facilities. We stayed on the lake front sites (13 & 14) on the north end of the campground. Millions of dollars have been spent to make this historic site (former GE retreat site) a public access campground and marina. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Lake front sites have wind a good percentage of the time, bay side sites less so. Sites on the water's edge are "pull in" type, basically so a Class A windshield is facing the water and not the rest of the world. If you have a boat or jet ski or like to fish this place is for you.

We stayed here for two nights. Like others have stated, there is not a lot of room getting into or out of the sites in the wooded areas. Low hanging branches are a problem. The width between sites is adequate. The amount of poison ivy here is staggering and should be addressed. The main bathroom (attached to the office) was dirty most of the time, the one near our site was nice. The kids enjoyed the two pools and rode bikes most of the time. There is only one other campground near this place, so sites can get limited in this region of NY State.

Extremely friendly people, quick to help and answered any questions. Site was just large enough for our Toy hauler. Fences at the front of each site makes it a little tight getting out. WiFi worked excellent. I was working at the local fire academy so I did not have time to swim, but indoor pool is new, clean and was getting plenty of use as the weekend approached. We will stay here again.
