Here for an RV Rally, and what a great place. We look forward to returning. The sites are very large and shady for the most part. Concrete patio was a nice touch. Gravel roads posed an issue with dust when a few people did not keep to the 7 mph speed limit. The park personal were the best, and the meeting hall out did it self with food and entertainment. One of the best parks we have been in.
Entering the park was tight as the trees were overgrown. Friendly owners and fresh good cookies. Electric was a challenge as it was hot, and we were only getting 102 - 108 volts. As the night came the volts went up. The worst was the ants. The next morning we noticed ants all over the coach and even inside where they had come through the water line and around the slides. Took two days of spraying to get rid of them.
This is top notch park is an old historic town of St. Charles, Missouri. Shuttle rides down to main street where one can get your fill of shops and places to eat. Great nightlife around town also. At the part is an award winning restaurant and bar. Easy off and on Hwy 370. Train tracks are kind of close but quiet down after 11pm. You will not find a better place to spend a few days.
One of the nicest parks you could ever find. Shaded and level lots gives you a feel of old Florida but only 10 minutes from the Gulf & Nokomis Beach, restaurants and great watering holes on the ICW. Some of the best restaurants and shopping only minutes away. The best pool anywhere. Rates are less in the summer and not many around. A great place for the kids to play and feel safe.
I have stayed at Tall Pines many times as our son and family live in Shreveport. Staff go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible, even in freezing weather. We can not say enough about them. The park is in a great location with very nice sites. I wish they owned a park down here in SW Florida where we live.
