This is an awesome campground. It has the best pool with a deep end for cannonballs and diving! Nice staff. Very tidy and clean. Big rig friendly. Great place for kids to stay too. Lots of shade trees. If you are visiting the Chattanooga area this would be the place to stay. Would get a 10 ranking but is pretty pricey with a 3 night stay running me $120 after tax. Will stay here again for sure!
Well, you don't have many choices for the St Louis area! When you are trying to find this KOA you are thinking, "What the heck; where am I?" It is located in an industrial area. However, you pull in, and it is like an oasis in the middle of a city. Staff is friendly. Pool was nice. Seems like lots of long term campers/workers here. Close to the monument downtown. I would time it so I could stay somewhere else unless I was touring St Louis. Just not a lot of choices anywhere around here though.
Nice place to stop overnight or stay awhile. People were friendly. Has to really large ponds full of fish! A very large field with a nature trail around the ponds. Tons of berries! Plenty of shade. Nice cool pool. Easy to maneuver so you could get big rigs in. Would stay here again for sure.
Paid way too much for this place. The people were nice enough though. Well shaded. Looks like most people staying here live here. Pool was not clean and kids wouldn't swim in it. There are plenty of other places to stay around here so keep rolling another few exits.
This was a really pleasant place to stay. It is about a mile off the interstate and peaceful. The pool was the above ground type, clean and cool. Gravel spots that had tons of room. Owners were very friendly. Well taken care of place! Kids fished in the pond for 2 hours till sunset and had lots of berries to pick during the day. I would for sure stop here again.
Kid Heaven! This place is a massive kid playground no doubt about it. This is our 2nd year here with many more to come. The campground: Big rig friendly, level sites, Wi-Fi doesn't really work, clean showers/bathrooms, clean grounds, just a nice KOA. Resort: This is what you are paying for. You drive in here, throw the kids out the door, literally, and find them a few hours later! You have 2 pools, water playground, several playgrounds, waterslide, bouncy pillow, tons of rocks to climb on, movie theater, gem hunting, fishing and fire truck rides. Did I mention 2 places to eat, wine tasting every night and beer on a deck! Yep and a bar. Put the kids in the theater at 7pm and it is cocktail time! We pull in here and usually don't fire up the truck again for a couple of days. Horseback riding on site. Bicycle and hiking trails across the street. I rode from one side of the campground to the other to visit a friend and it is around half a mile, plenty of riding for kids. If you don't like kids, go somewhere else. If you have kids this is the place to be. The sites are about $40 for the full hook up. You pay an extra $6 per person for resort fees and other stuff. It is pricey for sure.
Nice place and owner is very helpful! I think this is under new ownership so I would ignore the older reviews. The place was very clean and tidy. Pools was excellent, even had a grill! Not a lot of shade but seemed like most people here were in really big rigs possibly snowbird types. The owner went out of the way to help me here. I needed to drop off my camper for the weekend since there was no place to park it at my parent's house in West Palm Beach. I called these guys up and they said Sure, you can leave it here for 10 bucks. Well, they even let me plug it in to a site so the fridge would run! Came back in a few days and all was well. Thanks guys! Would stay here again for sure.
At first I was rather worried when driving to this place. It is a long way from the main roads and runs through 20 minutes of condo/hotel areas on the beach. But, once I got here it was worth it. You pass through dunes and bird nesting areas to get to the campground, which is great for bird watching! The campground was full and lots of people seem to be locals. I was a little worried at first but the kids and I had great time here! Kids are riding bikes everywhere, other campers were chatty and friendly 'invited my kids over for smores.' If you don't like families don't come here. The sites were small so I don't know if I would bring a big rig in here. The fort is great, the beaches are great and the bird watching is awesome! I would stay here again for sure. During bad weather sometimes the road floods, so watch for that too!
You have pretty much zero choices in Vicksburg, so just grab a spot here. Big place, just a parking lot feel, with tiny trees. It is part of the casino, so there are shuttle buses to go gamble, if that's your thing. Pool was nice. Not many kids here though. Good enough for overnight and to visit the battle field.
Nice campground and close to Hot Springs Arkansas activities. It is on a big hill so batten down the 'hatches' when pulling in! Pool was really nice and they had hiking trails in the campground that were nice. Place was clean and everyone was friendly. You don't have many choices here anyway and this one is closest to downtown National Park. Very well shaded! Would stay here again for sure.
This was a nice park and easy to get to off the interstate. You can walk to several places to eat and drink from here too. The pool was perfect for the 98F degree day. The sites are all shaded which was is great in summer. Owners and campers here all seemed nice. I stayed here twice this summer. I felt it was big rig friendly, but saw a motorhome (big bus type one) clip a car here and driver say it was small and hard to manuever.
Beautiful spot. Mountain views! We stayed here to visit Cody and it was really nice to be out of the crowds. Paddled my canoe on the lake and enjoyed a nice campfire. No hooks so lots of generator noise till 9:50pm. They have water and a dump station. Tent sights looked nice too with wind block fences. Lots of space here. This campground was about 5 miles from Cody and close to the highway with some road noise. There is another campground further up the road that looked nice and on the river that was further away from the road. Will try that one next time.
Clean and friendly. Our neighbors asked about a fire brazier for marshmallow roasting and the staff dropped one off and some wood! Spaces were tight but doable. Could get a little tight for big boys. Good place.
