A word (or two) of warning!!! This park has been in the local news a lot, recently. The owners have pretty much abandoned it: the water and sewer have been cut off and there have been serious crimes reported here, including a shooting. Avoid! You can go to the local paper www.pnj.com and search for the news stories.
We really liked this park. We prefer the more rustic "primitive camping in an RV", and we got that here. Not a lot of extra amenities, but we enjoyed it. The rangers were very nice and informative, and the nature-viewing was great. It was very private and quiet, inexpensive and convenient. We are going back soon!
Beautiful older park - but needs some updating (Which, I understand, is 'in the works). LOT'S of shade (makes it almost impossible to get a satellite signal, though!), beautiful oaks with Spanish Moss. Gravel sites. Unusual for a COE park - the bathroom facilities and cleanliness left a lot to be desired!
Yea - clean and pristine - probably GREAT for families - but just not our 'cup of tea'. We prefer more 'nature' oriented. The sites here are REALLY close. I had a great view of my neighbors sewer hookup! I now know what an 'RV Resort' is...and won't be staying at others... If you're like us, and prefer a more 'quaint' and natural setting - the Grayton Beach is a few miles down the road, and that's where we'll stay next trip here.
