Be aware...the full hook-up sites are only 30 amps. We were told when making our reservation, and it states online, they have 50 amp and full hookup. The full hookup sites are only 30 amps. Some sites were cement while others were grass. Looked nice but we ended up getting refunded and leaving due to no 50 amp full hookups. They said they were looking to add 50 amps to the full hookup sites, but not until next year or so. Their is a lake and many shaded sites. Looks lovely for a family to spend some time. Not hard to find. Only a couple miles off main highway. Walmart and restaurants a couple miles away.
Big Rigs STAY AWAY!!! They say they are big rig friendly, they are not. We have a 43 foot motorhome and we did not fit. The roads to the premium sites were only as wide as our rig. If someone was parked just slightly on the road, no way of getting around them. The "premium" site just fit our rig from end to end, literally. The car must be parked on the grass next to you because there is no other place. You can not swing wide enough for the turns so you go over the lawns of other sites. If someone is parked in that site, be very careful you do not hit them while turning. There are no pull-through sites, so to back into the site you must first hope no one is parked in the site across from you because you must use their site to pull into, then maneuver and back into your site. If their is a rig in the site in front of you, there is no way of getting into the site other than going over the lawn several times while doing many K turns. We've seen big rigs pull into the park and pull right back our because they can not park in the spaces. We were lucky in that it was a slow time and there was no one in the site in front of us. If the park did not take my credit card over the phone and charge the first night, I would have done the same. Also, the "premium" sites that you pay extra for because it's the only "big rig friendly" area in the park is right on the main road. So get used to lots of traffic noise. BTW, the State Park minutes down the road, is big rig friendly, has full hook-ups and is right on the beach for less than half the price. I don't know what the other reviewers are saying about the State Park but if I had a choice, I would have stayed there for a lot less and probably extended my stay. Here at this park, we planned on staying two maybe three nights. After being here and seeing this place, we are pulling out the first chance we get in the morning. BIG RIGS STAY AWAY! We will definitely not be back.
NOT BIG RIG FRIENDLY! With a 42ft MH we did not fit. Sites are not level. We would have snapped off our tailpipe if we dropped our air because of the incline. Tight and narrow does not even begin to describe the sites and roads. The roads are so narrow two golf carts would be tight, let alone a MH. Forget about satellite, too many trees. Antenna, nothing. Cable did not work. No Wi-Fi. One bar on cell phone, if you stand the right way. They have a ridiculous $3.00 extra charge for "resort" fee. And if you want to take a shower, that willl be .25 cents extra. In the bathroom there are no paper towels or blowers to dry your hands. Management does not care about sites let alone park. When we told them about us not fitting, they did not care. They had the typical answer, "We've had rigs your size here before in that spot". Hard to believe. Park itself is maintained to the bare minimum to get by. Mostly seasonal sites. Some well maintained, most are falling apart. It says volumes when a seasonal camper had a sign out front saying, "Watch your stuff, there are thieves among us everywhere!" Very overpriced for this campground. We will never come back here. We were here in a 42ft MH with a tow in a "pull thru" site which had a tree in it! Management was not even present during Labor Day Weekend, hard to believe but it shows the care they put into the park. Stay Away! All of this is in my humble opinion, mileage may very.
Very nice staff. When checking in staff mentioned local art festival going on this weekend. Large pull-thru's on grassy area. Leveled easily. Very quiet, not by any many road or train. About 10-15 minutes from NY interstate 86 but worth it. Nice location to visit Jamestown or surrounding area. Lots of seasonal homes but very well maintained. People take pride in there property. Would stay here again if in the area.
Nice park. Dog park was large and taken care of. Lots of grassy areas for walking dog. Next to interstate which can be noisy at times. What we didn't expect was the interstate road expansion construction located right next to the pull through sites. Was woken up at 6:30 in the morning by trucks, their back up beepers on the trucks and construction noise. This also kicked up lots of dirt and dust that got everywhere. Left after one night, even though paid for two because construction noise went on all day long. Would stay here again once construction is complete. Call first about construction before booking.
