Great campground with a ton of activities for kids. With the 2 pools, Fun Train, Jumping Pillow, Friday night movie night at the Outdoor Cinema, and the beach, you don't have to leave the campground if you don't want to. While the website mentions additional charges for activities such as the Fun Train and Jumping Pillow, we were not charged for them. Not sure if their policy has changed or if we just happened to be there at the right time. As mentioned on the website, cable is an additional fee and that fee was $3.00 per night. The following comments are out of the campgrounds control but should be noted. There are absolutely no trees so shade is non-existent with the exception of an awning. Due to the strong winds at the beach, I would highly recommend awning tie-downs so that you can use yours. Also, no campfires are allowed on the island with the exception of on the beach below the high tide mark. And finally, Pear Cactus grow on the dunes. I mention this for those that reserve the "ocean front" sites at the base of the dunes because these cactus are literally 5 feet from your campsite and can grow up to 2" thorns. These things will hurt and can even blow into the campsite once the break off. Again, these things are out of the campgrounds control but should be noted.

Great campground that is not too large and is convenient to all that Wilmington has to offer. Very clean grounds and very friendly staff. Pull thru sites were easy to get in to and very level but narrow. Some sites, including ours, did have low tree branches that prevented the use of an awning. Playground is in great shape and the full sized chess board was fun for the kids. Pet friendly with two fenced in off leash dog pens. We will definitely being staying here again.

This park needs some serious TLC. The majority of sites are occupied by permanent trailers many of which have decks and wooden or metal structures built over top. Due to the number of seasonal residents, the atmosphere was quite uncomfortable as an outsider that was visiting for the weekend. Sites were extremely un-level and narrow. The playground appeared to have new equipment and the miniature golf course needs to be replaced. The pool was not open as we stayed here in April. The staff was friendly during check-in. We would not stay here again.
