We stayed here one night and were very pleased with the campground. The showers & restrooms were spotless, the people in the camp store were friendly and helpful. Best of all, the sites were a really nice size for a private campground. We'd definitely stay here again. We will keep this campground in reference to go back in future.
It's our 2nd time there since the 2 last year. We stop there for one night every time on our way to Virginia. We found the place perfect. This year we even had a site in front of the water and we enjoy the most gorgeous sunset I ever see, was fabulous. The bad think is we have a fifth wheel and they place us on a very small site, more for a tent than a trailer, but it wont stop us to go back. Nice place to go for fishing.
We stopped there for 1 night. It is perfect for this kind of purpose. You are one step from the ferry to New York. Tthat is great for a visit without the traffic. But you have to reserve at least 2 months in advance if you want to have a good place with service like electricity and water, if not you may have a place but no service. There is bathroom, but it's not very clean nor for the shower. Now we know to get a reservation in advance. We will do so if we do want to go into NY city to visit.
This is a very nice campground. Three beach access points. Two that are for the campground and with boardwalks and one for the public beach. The beach was amazing. The most pristine powdery white fine sand I have seen. Beach was not very crowded at all. Brookgreen Gardens across the street was nice and cost $12.00 adult and the ticket is good for 7 days, it was worth it. 20 miles or so south of Myrtle Beach. Take LOTS of bug repellent. We went here in 2008 for the 1st time after a friend suggest us and we come back every year since then.
