We never heard the interstate but the races were on until 10:30 at night, very loud. Very few folks sitting outside due the track noise. The sites are not leveled out, little potholes. OK for overnight but we will try something else the next time through.
Nice park between Racine and Milwaukee, east of I-94. The sites offer plenty of room and much common area, the sites are level. Campground could use more showers and bathrooms, plus better cleaning. The park offers a large prairie just north of the campground to hike or walk your dogs (off leash). The woods lead down to the 'cliff' to lake Michigan. Access to the lake is in a residential area just south and east of the park. The path to the lake is unimproved an a bit steep but beach reward is worth it, nice long sandy beach. Like other reviewers stated bring a long hose, or 2, for the water hook up. We will use this park again when visiting local family.
Beautiful park right on the Mississippi river. All the sites appear to have great shade with good spacing between sites. Sites have power only with a common spigot to share with other sites, bring a long hose. We only spent the night but we would go back again. You can sit on the river bank and watch the barge traffic go by, very quite and impressive. Would give a 10 if it had a dump and water at every site.
This park is located above the damn on the main lake. The terrain is a bit hilly but the sites are level with decent spacing. We stayed in site 16, gave a great view of the lake and lots of common area. Lake access was poor to to high water, the beach was flooded and it had a foul smell. Showers and bathrooms were clean and roomy, there are outhouses spread out about the campground.
