We stayed at the North Pole Resorts Campground for an extended Labor Day weekend and had a very nice time. It is a very relaxing and well maintained campground in one of the most beautiful areas of New York State. We had an extra wide back in site in the original campground (they also have a newer section just down the road called the 100 acre woods). The staff is very friendly and they keep the facilities including the bathroom and showers immaculate. The only reason we rated it an 8 instead of a 10 is the lack of any organized activities for kids. But with all the entertainment options in the Lake Placid area we really didn't miss not having activities anyway. This is one campground we plan on returning to.
We stayed there over Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The place is immaculate and the workers are very friendly. Our kids enjoyed the fishing and planed activities. Will be going back again this summer.
