Rate reflects Good Sam discount. Although park is located between North Pole and Fairbanks all activities are convenient and easy to get to. Some pull thru sites are quite spacious while others are a bit narrow, management tries to leave spaces next to narrow pull-thrus unoccupied unless campground fills up. Great laundry facilities, also has vehicle wash station. Convenience store and service station selling gas & diesel part of complex. Over the air TV reception available along with cell phone coverage. WiFi worked well during our stay although it is unsecure. Staff helpful and friendly, would stay here again, spent a week. Camped in 34' Motorhome towing.
All spaces for RV's are back-ins and off of looped road. They are relatively level with plenty of room to maneuver. Sites have fire ring and picnic table with water spigots centrally located. Over the air TV reception available as well as cell phone service. Would stay here again.
Although outside of town it is a good choice while in Tok. Spaces are well separated with vegetation/trees. Plenty of room to maneuver. Nightly entertainment provided by Campground Staff and has a communal camp fire with campground providing the marshmallows and roasting sticks. Set in grove of Spruce and Aspens. Staff helpful and very accommodating. Stayed in a back-in site with FHU and would stay here again.
Best choice in the town of Chicken. It is a rustic campground with a lot of history and gold mining equipment. Best gift shop in Chicken also has food and ice cream. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Rate reflects dry camping in caravan pull thru's next to Gold Dredge. I would definitely stay here again.
Rate reflects Good Sam Discount. Parked our 34' MH towing, in 30A, FHU back-in site. If you are looking for a Northern RV park with some ambience this will give you what you are looking for. Sites are separated by trees/vegetation with fire rings and picnic tables to the side in most cases. Laundry facilities were excellent. RV/Car wash on site. Convenient to town and attractions. Internet was slow with limited availability (0800-2130 daily), but after seeing advertisements of what individuals have to pay for internet service, I can see why the service we take for granted at home is not available here in the North Country! Wonderful collection of ALCAN highway building equipment along the entrance road. Would definitely stay here again.
Rate reflects Good Sam discount. As others have commented pull throughs have easy access, but spaces are narrow! If two RV's are parked next to each other and both had their slides extended - it would be tough to walk between the two of them. If you don't mind un-hooking the back-in sites are cheaper and have more space/separation. What park lacks in ambience - it makes up for it in convenience. Pretty much everything one would want to see/do in Watson Lake is within walking distance.
Great location, some lakeside sites available. Bear proof litter boxes, water spigots, lake swimming, hiking trails, restrooms, play area, pay phone, some sites can be reserved. Very popular on weekends and holidays; we stayed on a weekend so campground was pretty vacant. Sites in the 1-14 loop are spacious with most being fairly level, could accommodate motorhome up to 36'. Day use parking area is very convenient for un-hooking and hooking tow vehicle. Stayed in site 11 for 1 night; was a wonderful site. Would definitely stay again.
Convenient location right off Hart Hwy. Heavily wooded sites, reasonable access for motorhomes to 34'. Stayed is site 18, interior roads are narrow. Camped here in 34' motorhome towing for 1 night on our way North. Campground takes reservations for some sites. Popular campground on week-ends and holidays, we were here mid-week. Probably would stay here again.
Office staff are very friendly and eager to accommodate your needs. Sites are mostly gravel pull-thrus, some sites are grassy, nicest sites are blocked off, suspect Caravan coming through. Rate reflects AAA/FMCA discount of 10%. Early in season so not any dust issues. Laundry, Showers and Club House appear to be in new building which is keep immaculate, washers are $3 and driers are $2, Loony for a shower room. Stayed here for 3 nights in a 34' Motorhome towing on our way to Alaska. Good place to stock up as you head North. Would stay here again!
Wonderful place to stay for the price, will return whenever I am in the area. Great amenities, wonderful staff, great location. Very convenient to I-5 in either direction. Highly recommend this resort.
Convenient to I-5 in either direction. Helpful courteous staff. Stayed in 50A, FHU pull-thru site. Sites moderate in size with either concrete or asphalt surrounded with grass with picnic table. Freeway parallels RV Resort so if you are a light sleeper request a site on the eastern side of the park. Stayed here many times because it is convenient to the freeway, and RV service facilities in area. Amenities are in line with pricing.
Easy to access from I-40, nice park to overnight or for extended stay. Helpful courteous staff, wonderful BBQ in the evening. Stayed in 30A FHU pull through with motorhome and tow vehicle. All hook-ups connections convenient to orientation of motorhome, sites were level, separated by oleander bushes for privacy. Large pet areas. Will definitely stay again when in area.
