This is a quiet, well maintained park close to the freeway. The park has concrete pull throughs with full hookups. The Wi-Fi worked well. There are long term residents who take pride in their rigs. We will stay here again.
The park is located in a semi-rural area with easy access to the freeway and San Antonio. We found the park workers friendly. Our site was a pull through with a concrete pad and full hookups. The Wi-Fi and cable worked well, but the number of cable channels was very limited. The entrance road was dusty gravel and could become muddy when it rains. There were a number of longterm residents. It is a Passport America park.
I agree with the previous posts that the park is quiet and has large, pull-through sites with cement patios. Our televison reception was fine. We spent several days in the upper level with our camping group. The owner and help were very friendly. The only negative was the water had a bad taste. We would definitely stay here again.
The park was clean with a friendly staff. The Wi-Fi was excellent, but the television reception was spotty at best. Our site was not level. In our opinion the regular rate is too high for what you get. We used Passport America.
The park is located on the Mississippi River. It has good interior roads. There are two parts. The front section is accessible to rigs of all sizes and has the modern restrooms. The back section's road winds among large trees and might be difficult for large rigs to navigate. This section has pit toilets. There are two types of sites gravel ($15) and paved ($18). There is self-registration. The camp host lives on site and is very friendly.
The park is located on ridge with great views. It has paved interior roads with gravel sites. Our site, as many others, was not level. The owner was very friendly. We had planned on staying two days, but stayed four because it was so peaceful. We would definitely stay here again.
Grangers is a good place to stay a night or two if you want the basics. Registering was a challenge. The office was open only in the evenings. A camper suggested that we go to the machine shop next door for information. The secretary told us to find a site and setup. A majority of the sites were taken by long-term campers. We kept our door and windows closed because the roads were very dusty. The cable and wifi were excellent.
This small county park is very popular with camping families. The park has a playground, fishing ponds, and hiking and biking trails. All of the campsites are wooded, but they are close together and do not offer much privacy. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The modern restrooms have hot showers. You self register after you have chosen your site. We would stay here again.
