Very enjoyable stay here. Yes, it is lots of concrete but it's right by the quarter and there is nothing else comparable that prevents you from having to drive into New Orleans. Pool and club house are well done and everything is brand new. The owner is friendly and helpful--full of good advice for restaurants. My only complaint is that we were told the staff would pick us up in their golf cart anytime we called (no need to make arrangements early) and when we called around 9:30pm for a pick up the line was busy. After a while with no luck getting through we finally just went ahead and walked. The walk is not long but it is through a bad neighborhood with a long abandoned building and parking lot to cross--my New Orleans friends were not happy with us doing this once they found out! Despite this I would gladly stay here again--the park itself is quite well-secured.
Very pretty state park--clean and well cared for (we didn't notice problems with the bathrooms). The park staff was friendly and helpful, even recommended a good restaurant. Nice, small lake to walk around and sites surrounded by huge trees. We enjoyed our stay and it was a short drive into town and off the Natchez parkway. We would stay here again.
Very clean park (basically a large parking lot-trees not mature) close to historical areas. Staff super friendly--great, huge breakfast for free at casino is included. We were not visiting casino but enjoyed the park on our way to national park battleground and other sites.
