Nice pretty camp. Hilly with lots of trees. Limited office hours, but registration available at all times. If arrive during office hours, you are shown to your site. Hosts are friendly. When we were there they were having trouble with their water system, so at times we were without water. They recently paved some of their roads, but if it rains heavily some of the roads can get pretty sloppy. Very clean restrooms and showers. Adequate laundry room. Playground close to river.
Surprised at all the negative comments in regards to this RV camp. It is in a beautiful location with good proximity to the many attractions on the Olympic Peninsula. You can watch all kinds of ships going up and down the Strait every hour. Even submarines from the Navy bases. You can see bald eagles flying every day. Deer are frequent visitors. Rare whale sightings. Close access down the beach to tide pools. Great seashells and driftwood. Surfers, kayakers, and kite-flyers make use of this beach. Yes, there are sand fleas. We wore shoes, the water is 57 degrees, most people don't go in without wet suits anyway. The campsites are all full hookup. Individual septic tanks are an issue at times. The manager's keep a close eye on them, and "rest" the one's that need resting using them as tent sites. RV's are put in "rested" sites. This camp is at sea level, any septic tank is going to be slow at recovering at this altitude. The sites are somewhat narrow but are deep, and are adequate for slideouts. There are a moderate amount of mature trees in the park. The restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms are clean. Many families return here time after time. Very safe park. I would definitely return here again and again. You can't beat the view!
