Flat and dry, but easy in and out. Staff is friendly, onsite restaurant had awesome food, lots to walk around and do/see in the park. Stayed during the drought so it was pretty dusty and windy, but overall a good place to stay a few nights. A bit south of Cheyenne but still convenient. Highly recommend the restaurant on property, awesome food and TERRIFIC service!
Nice campground but very crowded areas around 'tent' sites. LOTS of small children, the pool is completely full of children. Not bad for 2 or 3 night stay, but very noisy with families during end of summer vacation. Beautiful creek running through the back of the campground, would have been nice to have camped on it. Expensive for what you get.
Awesome owners/managers, clean park with decent size spaces and easy to get in and out of with large fifth wheel. Nice views, good laundry facilities. Only bad part is the pool. There are no less than 10 small children in it all day long as they use this for additional revenue. After 6pm the pool is for campers only, however there are a lot of children in the campgrounds, apparently. Unfortunate as the rest of the park is awesome, and the management is top notch.
The park was nice and quiet, the spots a little tight to get in to with a large fifth wheel, but the staff was excellent and helpful. Warning that the GPS directions from Thermopolis are not quite as clear as they could be, do NOT try to go through the Hot Springs Park, the underpass for the railroad is 12 foot and we lost an AC unit by misjudging it. Use the highway to the left and go around the park and it is easy to find: at least now we know! The pools are warm and relaxing, interesting to see the natural hot springs in the park!
This is the cleanest, friendliest, nicest RV park we've camped in. The owners/staff are fabulous, the pool is awesome, the showers are pristine, and the complimentary breakfast is great. Not much to see in West Texas, but we look forward to staying at this park each time.
Second time to camp at this park in 2 years, we love it. The grounds and rivers are beautiful and the park is maintained well. Good location, out of the traffic of Durango. We'll definitely be back.
Lots of local people in the pool, we did not use it. Park overlooks a shallow lake, lots of large ducks that left deposits over most of the campground. Good for an overnight stay.
We enjoyed our nights at this park, the office is very understaffed for checking in, but they do the best they can. Spaces were large and it was easy to get in and out of. Great distance from the Grand Teton Park, beautiful views.
