I can't remember how much we paid, but the price was pretty reasonable. The site was gravel but pretty level and easy to get in and out of. The sites do share hook-ups, so beware of where yours is when you pull in. We had a bit of a stretch between sewer and water hook-ups, but all was okay. As said before, its on a lake where people fish and there is an area for perms. We found a retired guy that comes down twice a year, camps for a few weeks, and does nothing but fish. We ended up catching a few good sized pan fish from the bank and the boys had a great time. Not much to offer in the closest town, but there is a bank and small grocery store. Its quiet and we plan to stop here on our way through next year.
Although it is old and close to the noise of the interstate, I really liked this place. I think it was mainly due to the friendly couple that worked the front desk. These were some of the most helpful folks we met on this trip, and they were great to talk to. The park is clean and most sites are fairly level. The pool was great, and the kids loved it. The other thing I loved was the gas station at the turn off. It was large and had plenty of turning room. That alone made it a perfect stop for me.
We stayed here when the theme park next door was closed. As a result, it was very quiet and pleasant. We didn't get time to use the pool, but the kids enjoyed the playground. This park is huge, and golf carts are available to rent in order to cover the distances. From what I was told, you can reserve one, and it will be waiting at your site. Over all, this is a nice place with several things to do in the area that focus around the theme park. However, I can see the park getting hectic during the busy season when it is packed with families.
This was a great park that we stayed at for an overnighter. The folks at the desk were great and very helpful. The park was clean, well organized and easy to get in and out of. I gave it a 7 only because it is off the interstate, and you can hear the traffic. It does have swimming, but one half of the pond is for swimming and the other half for fishing. No big deal, but my wife didn't like that idea for the kids. Overall, we liked this place, and the kids enjoyed the playground and ice cream in the store.
