We camped here over a very busy Fourth of July weekend. While the campground was full, it was fairly quiet and did not feel as crowded as others we have visited. We had a grassy, partly shaded river front site that was very clean and was spacious enough for our pop-up and screen room. The pool was clean and the kids loved it. There were a ton of little kids, toddlers etc. Also, pets are allowed and some owners were not fastidious about cleaning up after them or keeping them quiet in the early am hours. The bathrooms were typical plywood stalls, clean enough even with a full campground. Over all we liked this campground and if we are ever in the area again we will stay there.

This is a very small, well run campground. We found the web site and decided to give them a try for the weekend. The owners were great people, very helpful and did all they could to make our stay there pleasant. The kids loved the pond and spent hours trying to catch big bull frogs. The playground was smallish but our five year old enjoyed it! The sites allocated for transient visitors were a bit small and close, but we had no one on either side of us. We could sit at our site and see the whole campground and watch the kids ride their bikes around the pond. The seasonals were very nice and sociable. This is not the place to go for major entertainment, golf carts and swimming pools. It was quiet and we could join in the activities as much or as little as we desired. We will definitely be going back to camp there again.

This is a very small, well run park. Our family loved it. While there is no swimming availability at the camp ground the owners are very willing to give directions to local swimming holes and rivers. The owners were wonderful to us, helping us out in any way we needed. When they found out that we were in the area to do some genealogy they introduced us to a local historian and gave us lots of information on the area. The grounds themselves are lovely. We stayed in a shady site that was more than generous for our pop-up. This is not the place to go if you want tons of activities for the kids or big swimming pools and entertainment. It is camping like it was meant to be: clear stars at night, peaceful woods and fields and family around the campfire. The kids loved the hike to the cliffs. The bathrooms were flush toilets and free hot showers. Very basic, but clean and with plenty of hot water and toilet paper! We will definitely stay here again!! The web site was great with pictures of each site and really a true to life description of the whole campground. No hype and down to earth.

So many things about this place bothered us. Let's start with the surly and self entitled seasonal folk with teens speeding around way over the 5 mph speed limit in way, way too many golf carts. The adults drank alcoholic beverages openly and all day around the pools as they ground out their cigarettes on the tiles around their chairs. The pools themselves would have been great if the music and dj wasn't so loud from the speakers that my family all had to literally yell to hear one another. Also, blaring music is pumped into the bathrooms, yes the bathrooms. It all but bound me up for the entire visit. We stayed in a transient site and at 9:30 pm while we sat around the fire, a huge truck towing a very long camper attempted to pull into the site directly across from us. The were literally 2 feet from us with glaring head lights, we could barely see the light from our campfire, as they spent the next half hour pulling up to our campfire and back as they tried to pull into their site. We were serenaded by the constant chirp of their radios as they called to one another during the pull in and set up, not to mention the rumble of their huge engine. Nice. We will never, ever return to this place again. While the staff were great showing us to our site, they need to spend more time supervising the seasonal customers and their children.
