We stayed here for one night as a stopover on a cross-country trip. It was probably the least appealing campground of the many that we visited. This is due primarily to its location. The area is rather bleak with no trees or other natural beauty. The park was gravel and the sites were close together. Many of the people staying there appeared to be people there to work for recently available oil jobs. Although there was a pool and a miniature golf course, it is not really a spot for a family vacation. The pool looks a lot nicer on the website than it is and it wasn't even heated in the beginning of August when we stayed there. The office staff seemed nice enough and we had no problems with wi-fi or cable but I would only stay there as a stopover and not for a vacation.
We stayed here for one night on a cross-country trip. The park was crowded and noisy, primarily due to it's location in an industrial area of Salt Lake City. During the night, we heard train whistles and in the morning we heard loudspeaker noise from a nearby factory. The showers were not clean and should really be maintained more than once a day due to the high volume of use that they get in this large park. Additionally, the game room was not open in the morning at the posted time. On the plus side, the park is located near a nice park and fairgrounds. It is near many fast food places and grocery stores and 14 blocks from Temple Square. The Square is not walking distance and hard to get to if you don't have a vehicle available. The staff was friendly. I would only stay here again if I was interested in doing things in Salt Lake City and wanted to be nearby.
We stayed here twice on a cross-country trip from California. We stayed once on our trip East and once on our trip home. This is not a fancy park by any means but it was clean and pleasant. The couple running the campground was very friendly and helpful. When we asked for a particular site on our second visit, they made sure that we got the one that we wanted. The park was gravel with level sites and shade trees. It is a good place for a stopover, with nice restrooms, a well-stocked store and good management.
