This is a great campground for boaters! Most sites are either waterfront or very close. Many boat owners have their boats docked right at their site (noise). Sites are very close together and maneuvering anything over 30ft is a challenge. It is like apartment dwelling in campers. Too bad because the river and lake are great!

A very roomy campground, any sized RV can maneuver here. The bath houses were great and we saw some deer and other wildlife. The only draw-back: one should always check the COE website to be sure the lake is not too high for swimming. Sometimes it is too high for recreational access.

We camped in the Yacona Ridge area, mostly waterfront and very nice! Just the right amount of vegetation to make it secluded but still possible to pull my trailer through. It has a pool, restaurant, a beautiful view and access to the interstate. Great spot!
