A great little campground. It is centrally located to many historic areas and Maryland State Parks. There is a small pond to fish in and trails to hike within the park. The only sad part was that the park host is leaving this year and she not only kept the entire park clean, but assured that it was safe and quiet.
Great place overall. We were in a riverfront site and were able to see all kinds of wild life including a Bald Eagle. The bathrooms and showers were large for a campground and clean. There were a lot of trains running on the other side of the river and even though we were in a hybrid camper they never woke us up. The employees were friendly and very helpful. We were escorted to our site and told there was no rush to actually check in. We hope to be able to go back next year.
Centrally located to several beach locations and historic sites. Several different boat rentals available from a kayak to motorboat. Fishing from boat dock and they have a fishing pond. WiFi is available at the snack shop. We enjoyed going to the beach and being able to return to a nice quiet campsite. The only thing not positive I have to say is shower shoes are needed when using the campgrounds shower because of the sand on the floor.
Our first site was a little small and had the picnic table right next to the road. We were moved to the next site and it was perfect. We rented a golf cart for our stay because the park was so big and it was nice to see how well the seasonal sites were maintained. The hot water was not turned on in the closest bath house to us; I guess it was early in the season.
