This campground is mostly wooded, and the roads and sites are not paved. The restrooms are fairly new and nice, though they could use a little more attention. They have a separate family restroom for campers with children. Our biggest complaint with the campground was the huge piles of brush (trees and branches) left scattered around many of the campsites in the upper loop (sites 44-70) as well as the numerous knee-high weeds in the grassy areas between sites. Limbs and branches all over the ground take away from what would be a very scenic place. The electric sites are all in the lower loop (sites 1-43), and the more private sites are in the upper loop. Mostly tents up there. It is a very quiet campground. The state park features a very nice 1.2-mile hiking trail called Double Run that goes past several small water falls. There also is a scenic canyon view next to a place called the Rock Garden that has lots of boulders. And there is a swimming area near a dam, but the water is extremely cold. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
