The campground is priced well for the area. We were placed in the seasonal area as we weren't sure how long we would be staying. The spot they put us in required tight turns onto blind streets. Our camp spot was on dirt and gravel. The site was cluttered with trash from previous tenants. They require a deposit for the gate card which they will refund when you leave. The card will only work every 20 minutes to keep more than one vehicle at a time going thru the gate. It is close to a busy highway, it's not a problem at night, but during the working hours traffic can be heavy. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This park is largely filled by seasonal campers, but it does have some short term sites. Most sites are quite heavily shaded, so satellite access is a problem on most sites. The laundry is reasonable. Campground access is through a secure vehicle gate, but it is possible to get an access card for the gate for a refundable deposit. The rate we paid includes a seventh night included for the price of six nights. We would probably stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Quite friendly staff: the very young lady who checked us in provided a lot of local information and was very helpful in reminding me about their Good Sam discount. While the property is sorely in need of a significant renovation, the sites were clean, and our site in particular was absolutely level. No TV reception in the area and Internet access through WiFi was $1.00 per ten minutes. Great if you just want to check e-mail or the latest baseball scores. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
If your staying close to Barrie , Ontario this campsite is a good overnight stay. Its well out on Highway 11. Sites needed some care, long grass etc. Check-in was interesting, one person was handling the pool, telephone calls, laundry room cleaning etc. Another counter person was needed. This is a gated park. Long stay campers pay $25 for card access, overnighters like us have to honk and hopefully the busy person hears you to open the gate. We were told no access after 7 PM. This trapped our travel companions outside with their groceries. They phoned the emergency number to be told to park outside the gate. This park served its purpose as an overnight stay for us. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
