We arranged to stay here with friends of ours after another campground didn't honor our reservation. Christina Pines was able to accommodate us and put both of our sites close to one another. They explained that although we were staying 4 nights we had to pay for the 5th night as it was the last of a long weekend. It was our only option so we agreed and felt that at least we wouldn't have to rush out prior to the checkout time on the final day. This park is extremely crowded. They had a trailer parked for the season that they said we could park our vehicles at as the owner wouldn't be there. That lasted an hour as they booked a motor home into that site. Everyone stopped to stare at the class A squeezed in front of the travel trailer at its picnic spot. Crazy! There was zero privacy. Our picnic table faced the street and sitting there we could see at least 10 other camp sites. Due to the number of people there was constant noise - cars pulling in/out, dogs barking, people doing things. Nothing excessive, just regular camping activities. At night it was so so quiet!! We couldn't believe it!! It's a 15 minute walk to the provincial day use beach area. The lake is warm and lovely. There is a nice pool at the campground. We only used it once though as it's only 6' deep and they are very strict about not allowing children to jump in. The hosts were very friendly. The WiFi only works at the pool, not at the sites. Once we left the last day they had that double parked motor home in our spot (our friends were still there so they saw him pull in). No mention to us about refunding the extra night they made us pay for. And our friends were being watched from the office as they had another party waiting for them to leave at 2pm so they could take their spot. I guess everyone is lucky we didn't decide to stay the night we paid for! No refund for us - they took 2 payments for our spots. Disappointing business practice. We will not be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a resort area and from what we could ascertain all the parks here were very overcrowded. We had a terrible time backing our 34' 5th wheel into our site. The sites are very small and crowded so we did not spend any time outside our RV due to the fact that less than 5-6' away there was either a dog kennel or someone sitting in a chair. So, needless to say we had NO privacy. There were some nicer, and much bigger, sites over on one side of the park, but they were all occupied and didn't look like any were coming open anytime soon. We will not stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very crowded high density park. Sewer hook ups far from spot, 2 hose lengths required. Surprisingly confrontational management. Very in my face about my dog sitting at my feet off leash at my camp. Previously not helpful regarding sewer hook up issue. Stark contrast to other Holiday trails facilities. Staff kept clean orderly site. Unfortunately their nature was better suited to running a correctional facility. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Another badly overpriced RV park. It is just OK and a fair price would be about $25. Add to the listed rate would be extra for each person over two, a cost for each animal and the WiFi, which can really add up. The sewer hookup is at the back of the lot so you need a very long sewer hose. The trees make it very difficult to get satellite reception. Verizon, Rogers and Telus cell service good. It is three blocks to the lake. We camped here in a Motorhome.
