We enjoyed our stay at Oxbow. Our site was clean and ready for our arrival. While skinny, we made the site work and enjoyed it. Since we were camping in October, it wasn't that busy except for a few seasonal.. My boys enjoyed the ponds and the paddle boats; although, we didn't fish. For the price, the Oxbow campground is a real bargain. Even the wood was decently priced; $15 for about 35 - 40 pieces of wood. We look forward to our next camping trip at the Oxbow. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice, inexpensive campground to spend a long weekend at. Seeing that most sites were seasonal, left an uneasy feeling but the people and the staff couldn't have been nicer. There was a band when we were here, that was really good; two ponds for fishing, along with a pretty clean swimming pond. I will come back here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall weekend was enjoyable.Campground is a quiet and relaxing place. We stayed at the furthest sites available which gave a nice in the woods feel. My dog loves the water, but was not allowed in their swimming pond .Campground didn't really offer anything that I wanted to check out, but the site was relaxing. Highlight of the weekend was the 2 nights sitting in front of the fire enjoying libations and conversation. Fire may have been too high a few times and went well after 10:00 PM cutoff, but nothing was out of control, and there was nobody worried about it. Website shows they are a Good Sam's affiliated campground, but they no longer are affiliated. They should correct this. I will go back in the future. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Most of the sites in this campground are taken by seasonal campers. There are only 29 sites for travelers. Even though we paid the full hookup rate we did not have cable TV at our site. Over the air we only received 2 channels. The road to our site was narrow and very bumpy. This was ok for an overnight stop. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Owner was very friendly and helpful. Got there late but he met us anyhow and got us to our site and then checked on us a couple of times. Sent us to a great eating place. Site was clean and level. Would stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This rate was based on a monthly rate. This has always been one of our favorite New England campgrounds. They now have Wi-Fi in the office and a couple sites close by. Hopefully at some point it will be available at more sites. Most sites are nicely wooded and quite large (pull thru sites are not as wide as the back in sites). There are many seasonal sites here that are immaculately kept - most with small pretty gardens. The seasonal folks are very very friendly. The thing that has always impressed me about this campground is the owners - they can't do enough to help their campers and the grounds are always well kept, clean and lovely. It is clear that the owner works very hard to keep things up - he is a working machine who never seems to stop (NO I am not a relative, just a camper who wishes more owners would follow his ownership ethics). The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. Also, there is lots to do in the Deering, Hillsboro, Henniker area and several decent restaurants. We always look forward to our next visit at Oxbow. We camped here in a Motorhome.
