Lieber State Rec area is a hidden gem in the Indiana park system. The sites are very wooded - so lots of shade. It has both a beach and a pool (aquatic center) - even a water slide. Fishing in the lake too. Showers were a bit dated - only negative. Weekday rate was a great value - and not crowded during the weekdays. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Spacious sites with plenty of trees for shade. Only electricity available at the site. 38' motor home pulling a Blazer fit in our space easily. Be prepared to level your rig as most sites slope moderately. Each site comes with a table and fire pit. Restrooms were clean and well maintained. Busy on weekends, but we had the place to ourselves during the week. Plenty to do in the summer as there is a pool, hiking trails, lake, ranger activities. Definitely would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground was filthy! There were dirty diapers, beer bottles, cans, all sorts of trash scattered everywhere, even our fire ring had to be cleaned out because of trash. There were alot of loud campers. This is a shame, because this could really be a nice place to camp, if only they would keep it clean. The campsite that we had was pretty small. Definitely a tent-only site! The bathrooms and showerhouses were dirty as well. We will NOT come back here unless there are improvements to the park: clean it up! People, please leave your campsite cleaner than when you arrived!!! We camped here in a Tent.
