The GPS coordinates are: 15.66173N, 96.50787W. Fernando’s is like camping at someone’s farm with hook-ups . You have 15-amp power, water, and a dump station (but no sewer). Chickens and two dogs wander all over the campground, and the dogs have free run of the trash dump. When you take your garbage to the dump, the dogs follow to check out the goodies. At least, they didn’t strew garbage around when we were there. The sites are shady and fairly level with beautiful trees. The staff and our neighbors were friendly and helpful. It was hot and humid, so we enjoyed the cold showers (no hot water available). We only spent a few days here, but I could easily imagine hanging up a hammock between the trees and whiling away several relaxing weeks. It’s a very short walk to beautiful Zipolite beach, which is unfortunately too rough for swimming. Downtown Puerto Angel is also not far away, and you can swim at that beach, find an internet café, buy groceries, use your bank card (or go to the bank), and visit the post office there. Like many places along Mexico’s Pacific coast, Fernando’s is rebuilding structures that were damaged by recent hurricanes. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
